Aerts finished his career the day he stopped throwing those KOing high kicks. But he really is a true legend, very humble and always in the mood for a fight, even past his 40s. I remember the fight he had against Sem Schilt in K1. Or even staying up against monsters like Badr Hari. When younger and more athletic fighters would go down quicker. Nothing but respect for Aerts. Tyrone is just a class act. Incredible career he's had.

+Baldwynmayhem Just in case you fail to realize, Aerts was in better shape than he was in his K1 champion days! He's already in his 40s, where he should start losing muscle and gaining fat. I'm not accusing him, just saying he might be on some "enhancement"

+Baldwynmayhem It does but that's not the reason Spong kicked his ass, Aerts is just no match against this killer machine in the first place cuz his guard is bad :p that might work against not that good opponents, but certainly not against a Champ like Spong! But respect that he still wants to do this challenges at his age, however Aerts is a natural heavyweight when Spong actually isn't...

Oh Yeah? And what do you figure how it is developed? The reason today's martialarts is so advanced, is because today's fighters learned and got improved from many good fighters in Peter's era, which including him!!

Dude, one hand, martialarts got improved, the other hand, fighters got old. It's not Aerts' fighting goes backwards, it is younger fighters going forwards. Aerts is 42 now he's still fighting. Ali stopped before 40! Also Ali lost his last two fights, does that make him a bad fighter in his entire career? No, it's just younger fighters learned and got improved from his fights.And younger fighters are supposed to develop better skills and techniques, it is their job!!

but at that time there wasnt the talents we have today: badr hari..maybe badr hari was yust a child even then he didnt really look up to them, maybe he did on the one hand, at the other hand he already KNEW THEN, this is were i want to be, i will beat them...and when he trained and got little bit older, he knew...he was the better one,,, at the age of 18....so there you go...if it was so advanced then why aerts didnt advance too? he is still in da game and fighting, his fighting goes backwards

Me I am 49 years and like the sport of fighting but like high powered motorbikes beer friends life in general harleys been fit at certain times but have not trained in this sort of arena and like japanese bikes drugs the culture respect chinese with kickboxing origins the art of war Spartans mongols Mongolian empire Aztecs Stonehenge ancient philosophy pyramids the stars and origins of the solar systems

Show respect to any form chong li bloodsport movie b.y China held kumite the koruki black dragon society to determine the best fighters of that time movie is based on truth about an american ninja who was in the American army and wanted to fight in the kumite but come across the kumite undisputed champion of step on the runway of this full contact martial arts tournament and if you don't know your art you can die without weapons being a full contact martial arts tournament of that time that was then not now and things have changed even though it could be reality still to this day
