Lyrics! And I′ve got stick with lasers And we've got tools that bang And I′m quick on the draw like Usain Bolt Whip it out if a boy gets jumpy Run a man down with a brick Left dust on his face, did that for the family Knocked back two shots of the brandy Need a man knocked down then shout me Take hold of the wheel Wind the windows down while I fix his steering Got paid for the last job well You can tell by the size of the rocks in my earrings Pull up and spray at the windshield Lay one down and I'm going cross country It can get a bit rough down there So I bought a new Kevlar vest off Gumtree And I've got stick with lasers And we′ve got tools that bang And I′m quick on the draw like Usain Bolt Whip it out if a boy gets jumpy Bust shots in the cafe big stack of hash browns Break necks when I'm walking around Quick *shwi-shwi-psh* and he′s down I've got bands locked down in the war chest And I′ve got eyes on the unmarked van If he comes round here then I'm capping his knees And his mates can wheel him around Didn′t wanna do that neither Ghillie suit in the back of the Beamer Quick little scrap at the roulette table Bouncing his head off the dealer I whip sticks out and I'm ringing off rounds And I'm quick with the fingers Full room on the floor Might have broken a couple of windows Put a strap to the back of his head And he′s conked out dreaming The whole family′s scheming Got my wife on the road in the evenings Make more money in the night time Dings on the line that's daylight saving Put a fist to his face and he dropped dead weight And became best mates with the pavement Got a thingamajiggy I′m rejigging it quickly And I'm adding all sorts of attachments Big scope with the thermal sight And I′m up on the rooftop prone on a mattress Breaker breaker, Pete's in the pub with a baked potato Pint in his hand and a Sunday paper Not today boys, I′ll see you later Sent big boys home in a box Four days on the trot Don't pay for the postage Look son, get with the programme Touch the remote and your neck gets broken You must be joking Got two pool balls in a tube sock And I'm gonna boot this front door open Hand in a plastic bag Rip off the ankle tag and poke him I don′t want a call from the coast guard Chained to a block so a man′s not floating Handbreak turn in a Jag Won't catch me waving a flag I′ll clap every one of you mugs Then I'm out on the town with a pint and a fag

You're right, the area they're from has a lot of Caribbeans and Carribbean slang is heavy in UK slang. Peckham alone, one of the areas they frequent has about 7 Caribbean takeaways

@James Ineson I'm not so sure that is a Caribbean influence. Possibly Irish 🤷 Also, bas is definitely not a Peckham boy. I'm not sure Pete is anymore either. I see him in my area a lot, not in person, but in videos, photos posted on Instagram and KZread. Why would a Peckham boy be causally walking his 3 dogs in rotherithe, or just strolling past Storror while they do parkour, or be seen walking past plush barbers 😅 I could go on, the three music videos recorded around "the old estate" 😉

quick little history of London, Irish and blacks were shoved together in the ends (projects) many of my dad's generation came over in the 60's and 70's looking for work, arrived in Birmingham and London and spread out, although the Irish had been running city streets in England with other outlaws for 100 years before bow street runners. Windrush in the 50's brought essential workers to us after WW2 from the Caribbean, many remain ungrateful but most of us have joined together in family and we may sound like cockneys and as English as it gets, but we know our history and when we are getting played, part of the reason for gentrification of London with gated communities was to stop solidarity between different groups, they were ok slinging us all together as long as we are fighting each-other and not them :) #FREEASSANGE

In the uk using jamaican slang dont mean you roll with yardies, every ghetto kid here uses jamaican slang including whites. We had a lot of cultural exchange due to being part of our empire and post war immigration from there. Jamaican food is literally British and irish food mixed with african and indian food.

Guns arent too difficult to get. But its all about who you know. if you got the right links you can get it . the gangs usually share them. guns arent actually illegal here, just illegal for self defense. Can go and get a license and buy one right now if i wanted. obvi there a bit of wait as they gotta do checks etc and approve it . Every farmer has at least 1 gun, usually a shotgun. Often the gangs will go and rob the legal guns from people in burglaries. But loads get imported too.

He is not saying any Jamaica slang in this really. Saying: "me" instead of " I " is normal in some English dialect south and north - if any younger people say 'tings' in London or use Jamaican slang, it is FROM the influence of the large amount of Jamaicans that came to parts of London mostly in the 1940s and 50s, it is called: "the Windrush years" Parts of London, Bristol and Birmingham have by far the densest amount of Jamaican influx. It melded with local and of course some styles of speaking are carried on through the family if one parent was from Jamaica. SKA music came out of the collison with punk and reggage culture. Pete was in the ska scene

So I don't know if you pay attention to the videos called before they were famous, but Pete and bas did one. And in that they said that they grew up in London, South London to be specific, and it was right after World war II. Now whatever history lesson you can probably remember England was fucked up after that so they did whatever they had to do to make it and survive. Pete is the bruiser and the fighter for a reason. Bas is the money man, the drug dealer but he can also kick your ass if you need to. That's just the basis of why they rap the way they do.

Its serious if you get caught with a hand gun over here as they where completely banned in 1997 after we had a school shooting. However, as its not been that long since the ban, we still have a few floating around if you know where to look. You can just print them now anyway. As for how serious it is to be caught with one? Not as serious as it is to be caught without it.
