UK slang, especially old school stuff, is what PB mix in with current slang, and no one else could pull it off. Fag is cigarette, which makes more sense than it does as an insult. "Faggot" definition is a bundle of sticks, and cig pack come in a bundle, and cigarettes are considered sticks. It had no negative connotation until well after.
