Pet feeder controlled via WiFi - ESP8266 Wemos D1 Mini and 28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor

This project shows how to make a pet feeder controlled via WiFi. You can wirelessly control the pet feeder at any time with an app. As you can see, a 3D design was used for the pet feeder. ESP8266-based Wemos D1 Mini board was preferred to connect to the internet and control it via WiFi, and an application was created to control the pet feeder by entering the IP address wirelessly.

Install ESP8266 Add-on in Arduino IDE:
Enter arduino.esp8266.com/stable/pac... into the “Additional Boards Manager URLs”. Then, click the “OK” button.
MIT App Inventor:
Import the shared .aia extension resource file after logging in to appinventor.mit.edu/ . In this way, you can customize the application according to you.

can we control the app from external, ip means from work for example ? thank you
I have been thinking of making of something similar to this design but the problem I face is long term storage of food in this. This will work great for short term but if we have to deploy it for a longer time, the chances of food getting spoiled is very high. This can happen because of moisture or insects as the food is exposed. can there be any alternatives?

Alternative it's refrigirator, un(locked) by stepper motor.
Unfortunately, my dog is going to eat his food AND the device as well.
