PET BASS EATS A LIZARD!!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I promised Liz I would never put a live lizard in our fish tank but we had a lizard, aka skink, trespass into our house. We held a trial in our 300 gallon aquarium and our two pet bass, Bonnie and Clyde, decided the punishment. We also named our 2 pet sharks and catfish as well as add some new pets to our planted aquarium. Dear PETA, please don't hate on this video but rather subscribe because we allowed nature to take its course! #thuglife

Yeah, I used to catch them (along with red headed skinks) when I was a kid. I grew up in NW Florida, not too far from where Bama Bass is. We used to have a worm bed (for fishing of course) and there were always skinks in there. Some of them were huge.

I put an eight inch airstone on the right side of my 55 front to back, and my 60 gallon power filter on the back all the way to the left. It seems to create a nice circulation in the tank.

Yep, it's hard to keep nice living plants in an aquarium with aggressive bass. The only thing I can think of to save the plants, would be to injure or stun the minnows, so the bass don't have to chase them through the plants. Just a thought. Maybe use scissors to cut the tail fins of the minnows, but that would be time consuming. Or, if it can be done safely, rig up some kind of little electrical device using a battery, ( never a wall outlet ) to shock & stun the minnows in a tiny aquarium or fish bowl.

I noticed your hair grass was planted in big clumps and if you want it to thrive the proper way to plant it is to separate it into little sections with 2-5 stems of grass and then plant those and trim the tops off. This will cause them to spread out and cover the whole bottom of the tank faster. It is a lot of work separating the stems but it is worth it if you want a good healthy hair grass carpet.
