Thank you so much for your valuable information! Sadly here in NY, I have not heard of a single pediatrician suggesting to a parent to limit or remove "screen" time when behavior is an issue... but they will happily order blood work or prescribe a pill. I feel so much for Morgan and thank you for what you are doing doctor. After chronic insomnia, endless blood tests, BPM derangement like a heart attack, seizure, thyroid issues on and off, 'vitamin deficiencies', and feeling like having Alzheimer's, I was eventually detained in a psychiatric hospital for 4 months because of "psychosomatic hallucinations" and the animal drive you described, continually insisting that there was something wrong inside my brain and specifically mentioning cranial nerves because I knew what certain symptoms indicated. This of course only made things worse as I was then labeled hypochondriac as well. Absolutely hellish and I wouldn't wish it on worst enemy. Thank you so much. Megan, 21

You're absolutely correct about the symptoms of cervical instability with fluid restrictions.. and associated personality changes. Tonight I had thoughts of ... the big S. I was crying. I was angry. I was anhedonia / apathetic. I was frustrated. The front of my skull and some of the side hurt. That's when I remembered I have an old trampoline injury. I had blurred vision, pressure behind my eyes. I was being mean. I was past the line of patience that I normally know I am about to cross. And EVERYTHING that crossed my mind was re-imagined via poop colored glasses. So.. I smoked cannabis, and then my brain finally triggered. That's all I needed. At that moment I used a standard break on my c5 vertebrae to make it free. After 10 minutes, i got another moment of clarity that my upper neck was ready.. and I performed a modified rotational break to adjust my own c2 and c3 (I think) I don't think I moved the top bone, but I need to. Anyhow, now I feel fine. I no longer want to die. I no longer want to yell at my family. I no longer feel frustrated. Not crying. not sad. not frustrated. Not past my line of control without awareness. No headache. No pain behind my eyes in in the front of my skull right between the fucking eyes at the brow. no neck pain. I had told my family I was maybe going to a mental hospital. They got the car ready. Then in a moment of cannabis clarity, I was able to put my neck in the right place and go back to being normal. Thankfully I learned how to put these bones in the right place when they slip out. And you're right, the reason my alignment goes out.. the reason my c2 cuts off my fluid flow (also from a moment of cannabis clarity) is absolutely the posture, the position of my right arm on the mouse .. the left hand elevated on a keyboard. Because I have my right elbow too low, and I'm tending to lean to the right, I get a curve that forces a complete LOCK on the vertebrae near c2. Those little suckers lock up and get stuck on the vessels. So I have to take my cannabis and use a very specific modified rotational break. I wish there was always a doctor at 2:00 AM on a saturday night... but lets' face it. Sometimes you gotta do it yourself. PS. I'm not a stupid man. I may have invented parts of the new batteries, bullets, reactors, and more. hahahaha. I'm saying - I'm REALLY smart, but wwhen my neck gets pinched and the cervical vertebra lock together , I CANNOT use reason and good judgement. It's painful. Literally painful. Oh, for the record, I'm an hour into recovery. the blood pressure is going down. I have a normal affect. I'm making a lot of typographical errors, and I have some remaining dizziness, nausea, headache, but overall, that should go away if I can sleep int eh right position with my pillow tonight.

I had a car accident 3-4 years ago, no symptoms at the time but soon after went into pro gaming, spending sometimes 12+ hours daily on the computer for about 3 years. I had to throw in the towel due to cervical instability. Symptoms vary drastically in severity day to day but I almost always have extreme brain fog, neck pain, mood issues, insomnia, and honestly the list goes on. I suggest to any parents out there to deter your kids from gaming as a career, it’s an extremely unhealthy lifestyle and although very fun is devastatingly damaging to your mental and physical health. Although I miss it I wish I never even touched a video game in life, huge waste of time.

FYI the doctor's comments about ADHD are pretty off base & perpetuate stigma and misinformation about the condition. ADHD is an attention /regulation/ disorder, not a disorder where people can't focus at all. People with ADHD struggle to *regulate* focus meaning sometimes they can't focus at all and sometimes they experience periods of hyperfocus where they have extreme difficulty shifting their attention to other tasks, especially if engaged in a pleasurable activity. Other than that, this was a fascinating topic and lecture.

Im 💯 sure my phernic nerve amoungst vagus nerve & whatever other nerves that were damaged left me instantly suicidal, cognitively permanently damaged & structually damaged from cervical neck to diagrammatically challenged in my breathing. My personality changed the moment I was woken up from surgery with a massive head, subcutaneous emphysema 2 partially collapsed lungs that thry sent me home with 2 days later & my life challenging to the point of rocking up to hospitals being unable to breath, talk, walk, swallow & them telling me my obervations were fine im having panic & aniexty attacks...Wow! The mri showing up with mild c-spine degeneration...Please! I was in so much physical & mental stress & still am a year later. I took 350 pills sent by doctors & neurologists that saw me on line, didnt even touch my body...some how I survived! Lucky I guess but now im labelled depressed with anxiety! Doctors dont get to the "why" & it's worse for women because if we assert ourselves, educate ourselves & ask these doctors for specific tests...well we are question god arent we! Do you think this could cause cervical instability? At first, I thought it was because all the pressure from my tongue was caused craniofacial bone movement and therefore intracranial pressure. I’ve been dealing with this for years and it has effectively stopped my life from progressing. How do I get help if I live elsewhere where I can’t get treated by your clinic?

I have been diagnosed with and treated for cervical instability. Prolotherapy definitely helped but other things that help as well art I have a comfort track traction device I use at home. No more than 10 pounds of pressure, just to relieve some of the congestion. A few minutes to get up to 10 pounds of pressure, stay there for 10 to 15 minutes, and a few minutes to slowly let down from pressure, then don’t do anything crazy with your neck as you get off of it. Just kind of hang out without wild movements. that will often stop a lot of the symptoms or relieve the intensity of them for a while. Also, how I sleep, or even just lay down and rest, in a neutral neck posture, to let all the cerebral fluid and muscles and everything sort of return to normal and let the pressure return to normal for a while. I can do both these things multiple times a day. How do I sleep makes a big difference in how I wake up in the morning. I mean the posture in which I sleep the physical therapy. I’ve done along with the prolotherapy is absolutely critical. My MD who did the prolotherapy said it’s not curative, the physical therapy is actually curative. Meaning prolotherapy will help, but it won’t fix the problem. Physical Therapy’s wood actually fixes the problem. So I have lots of neck exercises that I do daily and regularly and will do for the rest of my life.

Lol!) pillows under book, arms, back etc. And I limit computer time. I hold my phone up in front of face and limit time on it. Stuff like that. Aldo use KT tape to help me hold my posture, add support, and remind me to hold correct posture. It especially helped me when I was at my weakest. Another thing that has helped me, besides prolo therapy, physical therapy, neutral neck position sleeping and very light traction, is sleeping in a faraday cage made of fabric by SwissShield fabric. It’s been a long term game changer for my health to do this and I hypothesize that it is bec sleeping protected from EMFs allows my brain to clear it’s toxins at night while I sleep and for the CSF to refresh at night. Apparently the brain shrinks a tiny bit at night like a sponge being rung out so new CSF can flow in. If I sleep w a neutral neck posture in EMF shielding fabric faraday cage, I think I’m getting brain health restoration at night better than without those things.

@JimiJames you are welcome. KZread and it’s comments can essentially “crowd source” sone solutions. Other things besides prolo therapy injections in my neck by a physiatrist Virtig Singh in Seattle Sport and Spine, I did incl light traction w a comfortTrac home traction device. Use only 10-15 lbs and take a min or 2 to get up to 10 lbs, hold 10-15 min and take a min or two to release then don’t go anything crazy w your neck as you get up. The point is NOT to stretch your neck but to relieve pressure so fluids can flow. Also, the brain “wrings itself out” at night says research so sleeping in neutral neck position is important (I love coop pillow for adjustability) and I added a faraday fabric “cage” from SwissShield fabric by safe living technologies and that lets my body do the whole nighttime regeneration thing more effectively and thoroughly. It’s effect is additive over time. You want to stabilize the core neck muscles, the tiny ones up and down vertebral column. I’ve been in PT 5 months. The first 2 I was such a mess (pain and psychological) that I didn’t notice much improvement but finally made great steady headway in next 3 months, also included strict clean eating and protein and that helped me get stronger. Hang in there. Slow it might be but steady wins the race! Good luck!

I have exercise intolerance as well. It's miserable. I use to train extremely hard too. I went to Dr. Hauser, but had a bad experience with his quirky behavior. He appeared he was on 10 Adderall. It really bothered me so I passed on the prolotheraphy treatment. I almost regret it now because I still have symptoms. However, it was a very odd experience at caring medical.

Have you heard of eagle syndrome and it's effects on the brain? I think my sister's in severe neurological trouble but no one seems to know what to do to help her. I need help for her right away.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe I really received a reply. I contacted Dr, Osborne's clinic and they suggested I contacted you, I found a head and neck surgeon for my sister here in Seattle. He said that my sister didn't have eagle syndrome because her styloid process is within the normal range but he didn't tell me how many centimeters the styloid process is.. my sister has 3 titanium implants in her cervical spine. The surgeon is going to see if those are causing her physical and mental problems. I considered contacting you. Thank you so much for replying. It means so much.
