One things I would like to see is maybe the idea of someone regressing in their Persona. I will use P5R events as an example, so spoilers for Morgana and the 5th Palace and Sumire and the Final Palace So after Morgana has his hissy fit and leaves the party, he would also lose his Persona temporaraly. This is because he has momentarily regresses as a person and since the feeling he has been repressing overwelm him, his persona reverts to a shadow. Maybe we can have a scene where he tries to summon his persona, but a shadow (his shadow) shows up instead, and need to be saves by the gang, making him feel even worse. Its only because Haru was there to catch him that the swirly feelings of doubt do consume him and he is able to stop before things get worse. Afterwards he has to re-confront these feelings and in doing so, he gets his story related persona evolution, as he became stronger from the trial and shows just cause he stumbled did not mean he fell. We see something like this when Sumire could not summon her persona until she finally admits to herself she is not her sister and in doing so, allowed herself to be a better person because of it. I would love to see more done with this in the future.

I do kinda like this concept for Persona 6. Confronting your Persona after you regress. Much likely, we need former Persona users to be the next playable characters for that matter since it would make sense.

@@Kekorock1 it really isint, and thats why companies do these things cuz the majority of the playerbase will buy dlc regardless. imagine the ppl who spent 100 on the delux edition, only to have to spend another 35 dollars for the answer dlc. atlus legitimately scammed ppl because on steam prior to the game being out, the delux edition "includes all future dlc". only for that line of text to be removed after the game came out.

I'm thinking persona 6 is likely to be announced at summer games fest this year since it's sorta replaced E3 and is currently outside of the game awards the big spot to announce upcoming titles and news. I wouldn't be surprised if sega also shows off more of those projects like the JSR and crazy taxi there too.

Idk. I think a lot of game announcements are being stalled right now because Nintendo are keeping very quiet about their new console. P6 is going to release on that on the same day as the rest of the consoles supposedly. If the Switch 2 is announced before the sega show, it makes perfect sense. If not, I’d expect a teaser with no real information or a later announcement at TGS or early 2025

​@@procrastination_productions Seeing as all the big Persona announcements in the last two years came from an Xbox show, I feel like the pattern will continue. Persona 3 Reload was announced at the Xbox show last summer, and no release for a switch version. I think they'll announce Persona 6 anyways, just won't mention Switch if Nintendo doesn't announce Switch 2 beforehand. I would assume that when they finally announce it, Persona 6 will definitely be marketed for the console.

@@tahamuhammad-bf8sr i finished it yesterday on 237h. I had to replay 30h cuz i missed something for the true ending. Otherwise it would’ve been around 200, yea.

You know what for the personal social links id have it so that each of the protagonists would be able to interact with each other's social links while the other person is there since we will have to double the time as there are two different main characters instead of one it could change the way the interactions could go. such as the main character one meets up with let's say since the rumor is to be isolated for the theme of the next game "goth person" and the social link goes as normal but halfway through your other main character also gets the choice to chose a social link and if they choose the same one as the other main character it somehow brings them both into the story of that character; if they decide to do separate social link then the content changes. Probably will also have social links that the other can not interact with so it'll make things interesting to see the potential of two main characters in the same universe. It would be fascinating if they where of two different universes living parallel to one another though just another thought

One thing I’d like to see is for the social link progress to not be so vague. I’m never really sure how many points I need to progress to the next rank

I heard that the game may have the code name "carbon" which would be interesting since carbon has 6 electrons, is known for bonding with almost anything (similar to protags) and could also relate to the structure of the party and having multiple mcs since carbon has 2 inner electrons and 4 in its outer layer

One thing I'm curious about is the possibility of more recent demons (like the ones from SMT4, SMT4:A, Strange Journey REDUX and SMT5) being made into personas, like which arcana they'd be in and just which ones we'd see in general, like Manananggal, Loup Garou, Zeus, Kaya-no-hime, Idunn, Cleopatra, Aitvaras, Anahita, Adramelech, Chironnupu, Hydra, Amanozako, Fionn mac Cumhaill, Daemon, Inanna, Danu, Demeter, Amon, soo many newer demons that people who have only played Persona don't know of, there's also older demons getting 3D debuts to consider too

P6 having a yin and yang theme is pretty cool, I think it would be awesome if they utilised that by having Yang be the social link, daily life content and have Yin be the dungeon/jrpg content. Whatever happens I’m all on board with it, the almost 7 year wait for a reveal sounds like it was worth it! (Also Mitsuru/the Kirijo group needs to be mentioned/seen as I can’t believe they found out about the p4 cast but not the phantom thieves who literally were publicly known)

Not entirely sure, but something tells me Jose from P5 is going to play a huge role, as either Igor's replacement, or as the new attendant. He looks very similar to all of them, and he states that hes collecting the flowers as a mission, from an unknown person, that could either be Philemon or an unknown party. There could be a good chance, depending on how the P4 Remake and Episode Aigis pans out, that P6 will build up to a future game, that unites Personas 1-6's cast in either a huge spin off, or Persona 7.

@@Adachifan54 ooh, I like the idea of Jose being the new attendant in P6. He was just kinda there in Royal and there’s so much unknown about him. I do hope Philemon plays a role- since most newer fans (like myself) have only played 3/4/5, they might have no idea who Philemon is and how important he is to the series. I think it could be a good chance to not necessarily reintroduce him to the series, but I guess introduce him to a newer era of fans, if that makes sense.

I have this funny feeling that this game may be about dreams. Maybe during the day you play as a female protagonist but at night you become the persona. Maybe the notion of two playable characters refers to the two iterations of the persona you get to choose. Maybe that influences how the Femc operates within the world. Maybe white and black, day and night have wayyyy more impact on gameplay than ever before. I’m super excited to see what Atlus does with P6 either way 😆

I played honkai star rail and jokes that it is persona 6 while battling monster using "its going down" 😂

The idea of social links being more fluid makes me wonder if they were influenced by Like a Dragon. They cribbed from Persona to add Drink Links to get to know your party members and you could tackle them at any time, as long as you upped your bonds enough. Getting to know everyone was one of the best parts of the game, so one wonders if Atlus saw how RGG took that concept and went "actually that's kind of a great idea."

I'am new to Persona games, playing now P5 and it is incredible. Going to pkay also P4 and P3.

With the theme being black and white (Yin and Yang), imagine if you can play both the protagonist and antagonist: whichever choices you pick for the protagonist/antagonist can effect the outcome of the plot. *That* would be insanely cool. Or prompt the player to only pick one side in the beginning of the game, either black or white, and have two separate play-throughs. So many cool possibilities, I think there’s no way to ruin it. Can’t wait for the announcement ☀️

My big wish is having it have a set year.

I started with persona 5. Heard about it from a friend. Was gonna get persona 4 but just waited till 5 and I fell in love. Wanted to play the older ones so I’m very happy I got my hands on P3R and P4G. Right now I’m playing Persona 3 and 5 but mostly 3 and bro I’m hooked. I love how dark P3 is already. I know nothing about it but the whole game just seems like a darker tone than P5 and I’ve not really gotten that far. I think I’m only 5/10 after the first barrier but still something is so dark about the dark hour it doesn’t feel light hearted and I love it

Would be nice if we get a PQ3 with the P3,4,5 and 6 cast for the 30th anniversary

2026 makes sense, for a release date of P6. Goes along with P30th and another Persona Super Live Concert.

2025 release probably more likely - theres been a load of twitter drama stuff with midori and zippo and tldr zippo had information from one of midori's friends. basically i think if midori is saying its in 2025 then its much more likely than what zippo is saying.

Everyone keep guess And yet there is no confirmation of it. At this rate I would have wondered if the protagonist will Be Female by default this time but I guess leaks and hints have not said that. I just cannot predict what persona can create next. Feels so limited in thinking so

Fluidity on social links is a dream, but what I really want is contextual story telling based off of social link status. It doesn't have to be plot altering or game ending. I just want the game to acknowledge my decisions and romance option(s) with lines of dialogue outside of the social link setting.

@@funmylife9248 That's my biggest gripe with Persona story telling though they're literally some of my favourite games, its really jarring having 1 big story and a few little stories all competing instead of working together, and the only time you get sort of close is when it's a late game social link so they're written with that expectation of the character knowing what's happened.

To answer your question the persona formula really only solidified itself on p3. Things like the calendar sistem, social links/confidants, social stats, etc only bagan to appear on p3. P1 and p2 are more like smt, being the parent of persona. Originally persona was only a spinoff set in a highschool setting. Beyond that, p1 and p2 havent aged well in their game mechanics but the story and charcters make up for it, specially p2is in my opinion.

I'd say only play the spinoffs if you are a big fan of the main cast or are a fan of the game genre the spinoff takes on

Oh yeah, we had a card game in P5R, but it was in Thieves Den. And now I think Atlus is going to implement something like that in P6.

Persona 5 was announced over 10 years ago, so I hope Persona 6's announcement and release schedule will be a little more prepared lol. I'm not getting my hopes up incase history repeats itself

The main thing I want is for the social stats to be scaled down just a bit, I get that it's part of the progression for each game and I'm all for it. However 5 and above is a bit too much in my opinion, I think needing to get those stats to level 3 is much more balanced and fair so you don't have to wait too long to start a social link. If they don't go below 5 it won't be the end of the word but it will be a minor point off for me.

Hope they let players be the second wild card not chosen by Igor like Adachi or akechi

My theory for the persona 6 release date is around early 2026, as midori confirmed that persona 6 will be a day 1 switch pro release, and as stated the switch pro will be released in 2025 spring. Unless Atlus manages to get their hands on an early version of switch pro for development (which i doubt on how picky nintendo is) puts the release date early 2025>, It would probably take them 6-12 months to fully port to the switch pro. And knowing that the ps6 might release in november 2027, atlus is most likely trying to beat a 2027 deadline so they dont have to port ps6 & the new xbox. Putting the release date at 2025-2027, and porting will take atleast a year. my theory is early 2026/ late 2025, i could be wrong though TLDR: Persona 6 will probably release in late/early 2025 & 2026 to beat the deadlines of the ps6 and the time it takes to port to the switch 2

I'm a tad disappointed to hear that we'll still be in a Highschool setting, but hopefully they change it up a bit. If we are a Student I hope we are 3rd Years, and halfway through the year we graduate. That being said, if we really are getting 2 main characters, I think it'd be interesting if one of them is a teacher, so we can finally have an adult Persona User that's playable(of course not counting Arena, Strikers, or anything before 3).

Can't wait to get the improved version of the game 2 or 3 years after the initial release

Persona 6 Theories of Content: Main Colour is either green or black and white and will be set in early 2000’s Northern USA America in a small forest town The main cast of characters goes to community college and maybe awaken their persona thru like addiction of some sort? Semi Open World with being able to explore the outskirts of the town etc Dungeons are maybe set like in a distorted reality like “dark hour” after you take a certain drug and bosses are people that cast knows of that an addiction has taken over them?

Disagree with this. One, Atlus would never took place earlier than 20 years ago the date of release. Early 2000's timeline is very impossible. Two, they need to stick to Japan as their theme location. Unless they would do Pokemon 5th Gen and beyond when the theme is outside Japan.

For K & S names. Maybe "Stella" or "Selena" cuz i think the game is also gonna be celestial graffiti theme. Remember Jose & his painted stars & comment about people out there watching humans? For the male K names,im drawing a blank. Anyone got ideas?

I can imagine it coming out between 2025-2027 (it took 8 years to make persona 5 so I wouldn't be shocked if it came out later or got pushed back like p5 did). I'm really hoping that one of the protagonists is a girl and I think it would fit with the yin and yang, girl and boy protags (I just want a modern girl protag PLEaSE atlus please)

As much as I love the series having its own asthetic, theme, and story, I REALLY hope we get a Persona game, where at least Persona 3 to 6's cast (I would love P1 and P2, but they are old as fuck by this point) unites with Elizabeth, to defeat Erebus permanently, and for Makoto to finally be set free, and pass on to the afterlife. There is just so much potential with the story they did for Arena and how well they connected P3 and P4's cast, and setting up Elizabeth's story of being a wild card herself, is a recipe for an awesome long term story. P5 even has some mild hints of a larger story, when you consider Jose looks extremely similar to a velvet room attendant, and is doing a mission for an unknown person, and that the Butterflies that Philemon takes form of, are still present. Hopefully p6 sets that up, for P7, or a spin of game of equal scale is released to finish that story! Edit: I also forgot to mention, that the new Monad Passage notes give a lot more insight to Ikutski's research on Shadows. This is important because Ikutski is related to a specific character in P4 Arena Ultimax, that actually formed Strega. While this can be something that Atlus wanted to add to give a little more detail about Shuji, the note that revealed Ikutski was behind the Monad notes, was post death. This makes me think that Episode Aigis will probably foreshadow P4 in some sort of way.

I don't think Persona 6 should feel even remotely like a direct sequel to 3 or 4AU. If that happens in the background or is something the P6 cast discovers, it'd be cool. That being a big post-game event and the 'true' final optional ending like Izanami would feel fitting. I do think it'd be cool to have a few characters from past games appear and have lines (old attendants, Mitsuru, Naoto, etc) as long as they're not main party members.

@carrot708 I get what you mean and I really don't blame you for not wanting that kind of game. It's a very ambitious concept that Persona isn't really known for and in a normal circumstance, it's a recipe for disaster. Mainly because you'd have so many characters that it would be extremely hard for them to all have equal attention in their writing and characterization. However, I personally think Atlus has such a strong writing team, and a very big opportunity, whether it was intentional or not to make everything full circle. I'm not saying that's a permanent route for them either, to keep them all connected for future mainline games. It would be a one and done and they could either leave it as the official ending so that they can work on other projects like SMT or a Spin off in similar fashion to Persona, or just continue a brand new story. It's unlikely 6 will do anything remotely to that, though. If the leaks are true, it's likely to be a brand new cast and new story so it's likely that Atlus will still do it the traditional way.

I heard that Persona 6 might be influenced by King Arthur or Arabian Nights. It's very telling that more people excited for a Persona game than the nex FF and Dragon Quest 🎮

What if P6 will have real time character switching like gta 5? That would be sick but coming from Atlus it's some wishful thinking on my part

Which also would let players date both male and female characters with the 2 different characters you play as. what p3 portable did but having the 2 mcs in the same story but both just as important and you play as both of them just as much sounds like something persona would do, a form of that I mean.

The battle music is the best. It wouldn't get easily bored with countless battles because of how good the jam is unlike Pokemon and Final Fantasy.

Persona 1 and 2 was so unpopular the series didn't get popular until 3 which started having all of that.

One thing i really want from p6 is a fight like stephen in smt4a because that fight was one of the best in the entire series imo

There probably won't be a female mc. FeMc isn't all the popular all things considered, even accounting for the cost it would take to make dual MCs, even if there it was just a Female MC, statistics using P3P show most people choose the male mc. Its simply not financially viable. There is also a bunch of issues with HeadOnTheBlocks supposed links, like pretty sure he mentioned they a staff member who is no longer associated with the series as a major player.

@@notthefbi7015 also it wouldnt be that much cost if its made from the ground up. Persona 3 Reload was "just" a remake made as a side project to bridge over the time until p6. What didnt help with p3r was that psp version lacked most 3d assets for fem mc. All would have to be made for what it was overall a side project. Persona 6 on the otherhand is the persona teams main project and those is much more viable to have 2 MC. If they already have to do two sets of animation then why not make one male and female.

Also if they have two MCs they potential have to do two sets of animations anyways so it doesnt really make any difference if both are dudes or one is female on the money side.
