Fine Nane I bought it for Christmas and have spent around 50 hours on it, it's pretty damn good. If you're thinking about buying it, just be prepared for a shit ton of dialogue, way more than you might be expecting. The game isn't open world but you can walk around certain areas and explore, but you're "timed" for some activities and you'll use you that time doing those activities. You have to balance takedown requests, your bonds with other characters, studying, going out (for social stats), etc. because they all tie in with the combat. I'd recommend it but it's not for everyone either.

den 18 Your playing it incorrectly. During the day your supposed to hang out with 1-2 to confidants then the evening comes, you rather try increasing your attributes or do sojiros confidants

My boyfriend convinced me to start playing this game because he was telling me about the Kamoshida story arc and ever since I've been hooked. I've sunk nearly 20 hours into the game and I can't get enough. The turn-based battles are fun and engaging without being too easy, the characters are relatable and enigmatic, making it fun to befriend them, and even living a normal high school life is fun because it makes you think about how to use your time best to help you in other aspect of your life (going through Palaces, studying for tests, working a part-time job, etc.). If you a fan of complex games that make you really take into consideration the nuance details, Persona 5 is my number one pick,

I have never experienced the need to grind in Persona 5. The game is perfectly paced. If you complete your main missions quickly, you can use mementos to complete the requests which give a good amount of EXP.

Yeah, this is the grindless persona game i've played. Finished the game (true ending) while i still have lv 30 Jack frost. Still die sometime but it's still really enjoyable

@@m_riidi if you play on any difficulty above normal you'll have to farm eventually. On higher difficulties you can get away with being way below the average lvl but fights get very rough. I played most of the game around 7-12 lvl's below the average lvl, sometimes 20 below. When I was hard headed & didn't want to grind a few lvls most of my fights came down to RNG even when I played well. This game gives you so many options though that even if your under leveled you can still beat anything you want. You just have to put more thought into how you play.

And just as the previous ones, I can't put the game down. Totally blew my weekend sucked onto the game. I actually had to stop because I wake up early for work and been giving myself like 3 hours to sleep. But I can hear it calling me. It's always, I'll save after this, but then keep going and next thing you know it's 2am.

ya persona is a amazing game if you like this one i relly recoment playing the others they have all the others on the playstation vita well sort of they dont have the fighting games which continue the story of 3 and 4 and they have persona 3 portable which dose guy some content but add in some new stuff like the option to play a female character insted of male

the moment you know you love the game so goddamn much that - watch all famous youtuber playthrough of the game - dwell into twitch for more live streams - look for reviews and reactions even after you complete the game - fly over to Japan for the game concerts and no, thats definitely not me

This was my first persona game. I played it in small chunks between August and this past weekend with very little of other games in between. It was one of the best 100 hours I've put into a game and before this one Skyrim and Mass Effect we're the only "RPG" games I'd ever truly completed.

It's such a cool game! I absolutely love Joker, and you can tell the creators put a lot of love into the designs of various characters and menus. This game can go in crazy directions and each ending is a tear jerker in their own way. I hope anyone considering buying this game knows that it is a great game and worth the $60 or so that it costs.

I played Persona 5 few weeks ago, it is my first JRPG and the first "japanese/anime" styled piece of media I have invested time in. I never was a fan of anime etc but I decided to play it because of the reviews and I have to say that I never had more fun in a videogame and I don't remember being so addicted to a singleplayer videogame. It took me 83 hours to finish the first playthrought and I had to play it again because I was having so much fun! Definitely one of the best videogames I've ever played

one of my favorite games of all times. I enjoyed Persona 3 and 4, but 5 is the game that made me fall in love with the series. Now, replaying 4 I have even more love for the game and I'm looking forward to revisiting 3 again

Nabinani 777 ps is having a sale, i have never played a persona game but got the ultimate edition with all dlc for $90, played for 7 hours straight after i got it and am loving it so much...$90 is spendy so no problem if you wouldnt wanna fork up that kinda cash they also have the standard edition for $30 and i highly recommend it for that price.

I became obsessed as soon as I started playing- I was head over heels and it’s interesting to see his opinion on how he wasn’t crazy about the beginning. Personally, I feel like game drags on later on because you’re doing a lot of the same things, hearing a lot of the same tracks and it gets tedious but when the game first starts out it’s heaven. Once I got to Futabas palace I was kinda starting to play less and less because it felt repetitive, but I still love the game to bits and keep playing.

this was my first persona game, my first playthrough was a 110 hours this is without a doubt my favorite game overall, its not perfect but I fell in love with this game story, character and the thing like character interction... a day after I finished the game I started it all over again, I just cant wait for persona 5 royale for more of the thing I loved about the original (hopefully it will do as good or even better)

I'm a returning fan and I can already say its my favorite. so much love went into the game.

Do you like JRPGs? Yes? - Buy it! No? - Buy it for the story.

I knew absolutely nothing about Persona, didn’t even know it existed. I’m thankful that this video was recommended to me when it came out cause now I’m obsessed with not only Persona 5/ Royal but the Persona series as a whole

I have over 65 hours on my first playthrough and since the time adds on to new game +. So I have nearly 100 hours and I don't regret any bit of it. It's such a good game that I'll always come back to. I love the game so much the ending made me tear up abit. Nothing will replace this game in my opinion.

As a long time JoJo and Persona fan, it's refreshing to hear someone refer to Personas as being Stand like as opposed to Stands being Persona like. Thank you for this gift 🎉.

FFXV was supposed to save JRPG but it failed. Thank God Persona 5 managed to save JRPG.

Yeah it was a good game I platinum it but it was definitely a letdown story-wise and Chapter 13 was pretty bad. Persona 5 on the other hand I enjoy it from beginning to end and then again on NG+. I platinum'd FFXV on 69 hours while it took me 202 hours for Persona 5. It was a much more enjoyable journey on P5 and I didn't even bother with NG+ on FFXV at all

Xelog Z-star for me I feel like JRPG was quite stagnant and boring these past few years plus most of the one that came out are mostly waifu-focused JRPG so I'm always looking for something to refresh the JRPG. I thought it was FFXV but Persona 5 did it for me

My friend told me to buy, I wasn't convinced had no idea what it was. Watched your video and still am confused. So I did what any reasonable person would do. I bought it blindly for $10 more at game stop and have clocked 62 hours in one week.

It's fucking worth it, honestly. Persona is an amazing turn-based jrpg and never has any of the entries in the series disappoint me. Persona 1-5 is a bundle of charm and just overall really awesome games. It is a very niche game for a lot of people but I think it's worth it, I mean, I am not a fan of turn-based games but like pokemon, persona made me addicted to it. Honestly, just buy it right now and see for yourself, persona 5 is so good. Inb4 people calls me a weeb rip

jay from the kubzscouts makes the game seem so fun, and it actually is.

Woah man I found a copy of this game and before just immediately selling it, I watched this video and decided to give it a try. I’m freaking hooked! I don’t normally play these games but the story and art style is so satisfying. The polish on this game alone makes it worth playing. Thank you for this series of videos.

I love this game... exept for when I die and lose the last 30 min of my time -_- Also when I leave my house to buy something, then I can't enter again -_-

There shouldn't be a before you buy episode for this game. EVERYONE should just buy it.

That's not true at all, I'm a huge jrpg fan and absolutely can't stand persona games. You have to be a fan of sim style games as well to fully enjoy a niche game like this. The guy in the video literally just said the first -12 hours barely has any combat, how can you possibly say every jrpg fan would like something like that?

Adam Braunstein I bought this game the other day, it's a non stop fun ride trust me. No other game has made me happier or more engaged and entertained than this game has. YES I've bought mass effect andromeda, nier automata, and the new zelda all within the last month, this game takes the cake. I'm only 12 hours in, and I've been erect the entire time.

I mean I'm sure theres enjoyment to be had but I can't stand the high school sim aspect of the game, the combat looks good but everything else is so off putting I don't think I could be able to ignore it.

I am generally new to the RPG/JRPG site. I played Pokemon, but that was it for a while. I played a handful of the Tales Of games and really enjoyed myself, so I wanted to get more into the genre. This video, and others, really helped sell this game for me! Great work!

Y’all made me start persona 5 again. I just realize through a few videos that since I’m 22 hrs in I’m just now sorta getting to the end of the tutorial 😮 this game has been fun, hilarious, memorable and hard asf. I put the game down for a year or two because I couldn’t get pass this one fight. I’m now picking it back up. Hopefully I can beat it, coming back refreshed 😅

Preordered this game, first persona game I've played, love this game. Favorite OST of all time. High recommendation if you like story heavy games, or JRPGs. Don't recommend if you're impatient.

I bought this game about 8 months after the release, not knowing a single thing about it (other than it being a JRPG). And let me just say: HOLY FREAKIN CRAP. I have never been so addicted/in love with a video game before. I've got over 300 hours of game play (spread out between multiple play throughs). I LOVE THIS GAME! Totally worth the random purchase.

Just picked up the game and I love it to death, the story is fantastic, characters are well rounded, and combat is really fun and battles can turn either direction with one or 2 moves. Its not a game for casuals you have to invest your time in order to do well.

Thanks for the info on Persona 5! I've been thinking about buying this game for my brother, since he really likes anime, and this definitely looks like a game he would enjoy!

Still going through it now at about 60 hours and I actually loved the first few hours. The characters, story, situation they werew all thrown in and the mystery behind all the crazy palace shit, Kamoshida, Morgana etc. pulled me in even though it was mostly 'walk and press button'.

I can only afford Nier Automata or this, so I'm in quite the predicament.

I have only played Nier and all I can say is that it's a must play. You can't really go wrong either way.. Nier has a really great storyline. Hope you play both eventually.

I played Nier Automata and I think the game is great ! However, if you like a turn-based JRPG, Persona 5 is your go-to game. Personally, I love both but Persona 5 blows me away and it's a 100 hours+ of gameplay.

Looking back at this video 2 years after release and without watching it before playing persona 5 i think it its a great example of the quality of this channel.

I started persona 5 royal from a scratch and it is so overwhelming that had to stop playing for months at times. I'm finally feeling that I'm in a good pace now after the third dungeon, but now I have to learn the complex strategies of everything after now knowing ''most'' of the basics. This game is definitely the most complicated game I've ever had to learn. I'm getting a feeling though that the 2nd playthrough is gonna more enjoyable for me than the 1st, so I can just blaze through with better knowledge while getting a little bit different of a plot experience as well.

If you love anime, you'll love this game. I wish I could play more often, but I'm a busy guy haha.

Was looking for ur persona 3 reload videos and found this gem. First the quality difference over the years lol. But also it's great how u came into this a newcomer and now u mention the greatness that is p5r regularly. Just went back and beat royal for the 3rd time and man it is such a top tier game.

I bought this recently cause its gone down to 24.99 CAD, never played a persona title before. I've put 60+ hrs in about 3 weeks, only just met the third dungeon deadline, and I love it.

Bought my PS4 for this game... and I dont regret it AT ALL. So good.

I dont know why...ive never played a persona game before and im playing it right now....and right from the start it was such a blast to play! I never felt too overwhelmed and i am so invested in the characters and the story! Love it

this is what i like about some of the japanese game, they don't have the fanciest effect but everything just look almost as good as 3A games. they are really good at working within the limit.

Hanyun Song I feel the same! It is like how Nintendo are able to make their exclusive games look excellent on weaker hardware. The art style and presentation matter more to me.

P5 kinda scared me away a bit but this video actually peaked my interests even more! The game mechanics are pretty nice and I see there are tons of choices which I love and a battle system Im not used to at all so it should be fun learning. I'm gonna see if I can get this game and if I do and play it, I'll come back and post my thoughts on it but so far, this game sounds so awesome.

Got this for Christmas and I got no regrets

never played persona but I picked this one up and think it's pretty fun so far. loving the soundtrack.

Never played the other games but I have been very interested in this. Might have to pick it up soon. I do enjoy Anime and RPJ's. 🙂 Good little video as well.

This is the first actual Persona game I’ve had the chance to play. I’ve watched let’s plays of all the previous games but never had the chance to actually play it. I got it for Christmas on my PS3 and needless to say it’s amazing. The menus and transitions are really stylish, there’s a HUGE improvement in both graphics and gameplay and it’s just fun in general. All I’ll say about it is as long as you don’t mind putting 100+ hours into a game you’ll enjoy it.

This is my favourite game ever. Love the story, love the characters, the sim-part of your life is highly addicting, the ost is the best ost pf any game i've ever played (I played FFX, and yes, it beats even that in my opinion, the art direction is amazing... Yeah, it's long-winded sometimes, but this game is so awesome. Love it.

Finally started it, 20 hours in......and holy shit, I finally have a new game to take out RE7(my previous favorite game of 2017) as my new favorite game of the year! Just.....wow. So great!

I got 14 hours in and just got done with the gym teachers dungeon but man there's so much to do and you have to manage time I'm spending more people while having a part-time job just crazy.. while crafting lockpicks which if u work you have to go to bed when u get home and work the coffee shop sometimes .. but it's s real Challenge to earn enough money to buy items along the way to sell.. u really have to hustle in this game ..

Between persona 5 vanilla and persona 5 royal ive played this game 4 times and it never gets old and the 3rd semester in persona 5 royal is amazing. This was also my first jrpg. Would probably do another playthrough if this game came to pc or switch.
