I had 15 mins to play the demo at gamescom and it was fucking amazing. You had the choice between doing some stuff in tartarus or doing the first full moon boss in the train. The whole athmosphere when walking on the train tracks with the moon and city in the background looks super good and so does the lighting effects in and outside of the combat. Since my time was limited i decided to ffwd most of the dialogue and get to the battles and the boss. They even had a 3d custscene for the boss where you sort of push junpei to the side in order to protect him (not sure if this scene was in fes too) and even though the boss was not hard the timer ticking down added a little of pressure. The timer also dropped a lot when you get the boss to 1/2 or 1/3 of its hp. After defeating the boss you heard want to be close (like the one at the end of the sees trailer) and overall all the music and sounds are really great. Since sees ranked up too I saw that they chose the old tarot card deisgn rather than what they did with p5. I also heard akihiko and ikutsuki talk to eachother but I honestly like all of the new coices.

the new armband has a gameplay mechanic, they said it in an interview. it also makes sense that they would have actual outfits for Tartarus, they are meant to be an specialized force.

i’m so excited!!!! i love the music, but yeah it sucks that there’s a new singer but she still sounds great tbh i think the new outfits are really clean, i’ve seen people on twitter say how it makes more sense for them to have specialized battle outfits instead of just running around in their school uniforms ALSO THE ALL OUT ATTACK PORTRAITS? just looking at makoto’s is so good (can’t wait to see the rest of sees, i might end up liking these more than the persona 5 AOA) and last thing, i really do love akihiko’s va, i’m a fan of some other characters he voices, but i kinda agree that his voice just doesn’t fit akihiko,, it’s too deep 😭

I honestly find it kind of funny that the VA asked ppl to give him a chance on Twitter after seeing the backlash, but there was seemingly no point since the criticisms ppl had haven’t been fixed whatsoever it seems lol I can only hope that maybe it sounds better in context rather than how it’s in the trailers. Like Chris Pratt in the Mario movie. If the voice isn’t good tho, I hope someone makes a mod to replace his VA work with the old voice. I’m fine with everyone else, they fit so well. I have no clue what happened with Aki’s. It’s like they decided that all Akihiko was was “sexy” and deep, and there was no consideration to his character lol. Of course, I hope I’m wrong. I so hope I’m wrong.

Aigis shooting water at Junpei means that they’re including portable dialogue as well into scenes. I wonder (and hope) they’ve taken notes from the movies and portable to make the beach babe hunt in P3 less gross. Cuz I found portable’s and the movie’s way better and funnier. And I think they changed it for a good reason. So let’s hope reload keeps that going.

Because it’s an option, for people who wanna use it, let them, for people who don’t, they don’t have to, having the option is much better than not, I think people should play with the default soundtrack on first playthroughs, but for other playthroughs, it’s fun to mix and match, it adds replayability

i disagree i love the new armbands and the whole new look they are getting for going to tarturus and in an interview they mentioned that both the new armband and the new evoker will add a new gameplay feature. idk what that is tho but there is like a red thing on the evoker shown in the box art i assume is the new thing. it seems like you can equip the og look back and it seems the new upgraded equipment is introduced during fuuka joining the group.

Baton Pass does the whole boost thing so i can see them shooting at eachothers armband could do like a boost baton pass. But i was thinking maybe its going to be boosting thing like the characters could change the effects of their skills with it. just as simply boost a skill to hit harder. extend the turns to a buff/debuff and/or make an attack that hit 2x hit 4x instead. P3 is all about a huge corporation that does experiments so it make sense that they would use stuff like this. Also the reason i also like the whole update look with upgrade equipment is cause they have a corporation behind they. yes give them more armor and stuff
