i’ve stumbled upon your channel for the persona content and i’m staying for the other games. P5R is one of my favorite games ever, however , JC, if you do get the chance to read this comment, i need you to trust me on this, max out Akechi’s confidant, Yoshizawa’s confidant, and Maruki’s confidant. You can ask chat why those specifically and maybe they’ll give you an answer but if you really want to maximize the p5 experience, do those

Persona 3 takes place before 2012. Roughly 08-2010 around there. Persona 4 takes place a few years later. Persona 4 Arena has the Persona 3 cast in college. There's nothing to stress over P3 is super old ps2 game that's still loved and loved. At this point finish 5R. Play 3R. Then Swing Back to 4G and 4AU. Finally play strikers. Metaphor is it's own shiz

I know a lot is coming out soon but take your time with these atlus games and take in all the funny moments, hype moments, sad or dark moments cuz these games are beautiful. even if you don’t finish for a while i’ll be happy to watch your journey through 5 and hopefully more down the line!!

JC becoming a Persona fan is one of my favorite things to happen this year tbh

Igor and Velvet Room Companion are recurring characters in all Persona games, they are the one who guide the main characters, and manage their Persona like Compendium and Fusing. And yeah Metaphor is directed by the same who directed P3-P5, Katsura Hashino. He's not directing P3R.

It should be specified that the ppl making P3RE are the ones who handled P5R. Hashino wasn’t in charge of P5R, but was for P5

Igor is a recurring character of the franchise ever since the beginning basically.

​@@makotonarukami7468alien is a bit weird but somehow, it counts. I think they are sentient shadows formed to assist the humans in overcoming their doom. Hence the yellow eyes and whatnot *except* for Igor. I think he created them or maybe Philemon did. The velvet room assistant in phantom has white eyes though iirc

​​​​@@JCbackfire Igor's role is assisting you in your journey like what he does in P5. But he doesn't appear in the spin-offs afaik. Anyway, Caroline and Justine is absent, on this game you meet their second older sister instead.

​@@JCbackfireThe Velvet Room exists as a sort of facilitator for Wild Cards like Joker, as a means of showing guiding them along their Journey. Igor in particular has existed since the original Persona games, but he wasn't always it's Master.

The story of P3 is pretty good and has pretty dark and serious atmosphere. I hope no one spoils it to you.

JC getting into Persona honestly gives me the same feelings as when I experienced Persona for the first time. Looking forward to where you go next.

WOW Satchel, you're fast I was so happy that we're getting P3R and Metaphor, plus a ton of stuff in the beginning made me hype. Awesome Game Awards show this year, and fun being in stream with JC too.

I love JC discovering with glee some of the overarching Persona lore. It's like someone find hidden Christmas presents.

Watching you get so excited over Persona made me happy

I love seeing people discover P3 for the first time. Igor is present in P3,4, 5 (I belive one and two aswell but I have not played them yet.). Three is my favorite out of the main ones I have played and the MC in the game is hands down my favorite.

I am so excited to play persona 3 reload as it is mine and many others first experiences with this version of persona. also i was excited about metaphor when it was announced but that last trailer now i’m BEYOND HYPE. I’m just as excited to continue watching your play through through persona 5!!!!!

Igor has existed since the very first Persona Game.

Rlly exited for these tbh, i wanted to play p3 soon anyway since I finished p5 a bit ago, and also metaphor is giving me huuuge xenoblade vibes, it looks fantastic

Basically igor is in all the persona games as a guide to the mc to help him/watch his journey unfold. theres a lot more to it, thats kinda the really simple way of putting it, but i dont wanna get into it cause it might spoil 5 and other persona games. he's kinda the only connecting factor to the games that tie them together, as all the games take place in different parts of japan, at different times and with different sets of characters. the only time all the teams from 3, 4 and 5 come together is during the ds side games called Persona Q. even though it is a ds games there actually really good and i recommend checking them out if you enjoyed 3 and 4 as there basically just fan service of having all the characters interact together.

So many rpg next year man i need to hurry up and finish p5 aswell😅

1:47 *Long story short:* Igor is a recurring character in the Persona series. He’s been in it since the first game. Although he started becoming more prominent in Persona 3.

He needs to prioritize finishing royal and P4G so he can get there in time for P3Re and Metaphor, it's going to be awesome Also I recommand P5S and P5T both are good games as well

There's not a chance he'll be able to finish Persona 4 and 5 before February 2024. Although you don't need to play the games in order anyway so it doesn't make too much of a difference

@@Azz0161 very true, though if P3Re keeps the difficulty of the original, it might be better to have finished P5 first. That being said he seems to be doing fine with mechanics already anyways so perhaps it's ok.

Persona 3 has the best and most beautiful ending out of the rest of the Persona series imo, highly recommend! Please play it

Wait, is Metaphor ONLY Xbox and Windows? I thought for sure it would be PS5 as well.

Metaphor looks like the bridge between Persona and Shin Megami Tensei games. This is what's going to make fans from both sides connected.

It wasn't really mentioned or anything but Persona 3's theme tackles with death and depression. Slight Spoiler(don't read if you don't want to): For example, they'll show you a girl who's trying to shoot herself in the head but later throws the gun away because she can't do it. Also, there's a girl who's always bleeding because she always cuts her own wrist and says she's never scared of dying. There's a character you meet that is terminally ill and is cursing everyone because it's unfair. A character who's parents are filing for divorce. So they ran away from home. A dude who drinks every night because his daughter and wife left him. Basically, almost everyone you meet have certain issues and are unhappy. Even your main character.
