Persona 3 Reload: Elizabeth Orpheus Only/No Oracle/No Theurgy* (Merciless) [New Strat]

Ойындар

*No Theurgy except Armageddon.
I am the first person to have done this Truly Orpheus only, that means absolutely no use of Fuuka or Theurgies for the fight except for Armageddon while also having my hp at base values only increased by my equipment. It is possible to beat her without Armageddon but that requires other theurgies anyway and DLC. There is no physical way to do enough dps to win without other setups. This strategy was developed by Me and ‪@bothdoorscares3878‬ and was originally performed on the 6th of March 2024.
Okay so pretty much right after finishing my big video where I disappointedly had to use a 2nd persona for Repel Strike I was made aware that hitting Elizabeth's "weakness" causes her to skip her next persona for the one after, I knew about the damage increase but not that. My video was already edited together and rather than redo that part of the video I just decided to keep this unlisted and upload it publicly after my other one was released.
This meant that I could use Inferno to hit for the same damage as a Crit Gods Hand pretty much by using Amp, Boost and Luci Blade and as long as it was on Jack Frost that would skip Thor. Not only preventing her from EVER using Gods Hand before I want her to but also I would never encounter Electric attacks so Resist Elec was never needed. I did further testing and found out Gems while static damage also count towards her persona skip so by using Dark Gems on Metatron I could also skip Alice. Meaning I also do not need Resist Dark AND Shoes Of Bane to Null Die For Me! Are also unneeded.
I originally was going to use Concentrate however I knew that Charge Herbs could be obtained from the simple herb sprout, although nowhere online I could find actually documented that. The description states it changes it property depending on how it is cared for. Using Fuuka to help allowed me to get 3 Concentrate Herbs which means instead of Concentrate being needed and reducing sp further I could opt for Regen 3. I didnt get any shuffle time bonuses throughout the game since I was playing my challenge run rules but since I was running Divine Pillar, Regen 3 could passively outheal the dps sometimes AND since I no longer needed Shoes of Bane and evasion was out of the question I opted for Safety Shoes for the +50hp boost which would also mean regen 3 gives me slightly more since its % based.
My Orpheus Build:
Inferno
Repel Strike
Fire Amp
Fire Boost
Endure
Enduring Soul
Insta-Heal
Regen 3
Equipment:
Sword: Luci Blade (Magic Ability)
Armour: Armour of Light (Resist Magic)
Shoes: Max Safety Shoes (+50hp)
Accessory: Divine Pillar (Firm Stance)
The strategy is essentially the same as before. Keep debuffed and buffed. Try to get her as close to 13,000hp as possible without crossing the threshold. This time, instead of being able to attack whenever I have to time my last hit to be on Jack Frosts turn. I had to think multiple turns ahead to try to make sure everything lined up. I was around 13,600hp when I did the big hit which was higher than I'd have liked but Jack Frost can sometimes use Rakukaja which if I was at under 13,100 it would completely ruin the strategy. Alice could be guarded so I wouldn't need to damage with Eiga gem but if the next Jack Frost turn she also Rakukaja's, ignoring her would mean I lose to Gods Hand, hitting her with a gem would phase transition and Inferno wouldn't do enough so doing it slightly higher gave me a bit of a buffer.
Once you pass to phase 2 she will do the following:
Nebiros: Rakunda + Concentrate
Pixie: 9999 Megidolaon (which we tank with enduring soul) + Charge
I used Inferno again to do a little extra chip damage on Nebiros. Debilitating at this point is bad since it will lower her attack, instead you reapply just defence debuff.
Her next turn she will open with a scripted Gods Hand which will do over 1,000 damage if done correctly. Since you caused a rule break she will Diarahan turn 1 and 9999 Megidolaon turn 2 every time she gets a go. Since its turn 2 she can't heal just yet and the rule break is prioritised over her Diarahan going into phase 3. Providing the repelled Gods Hand put her below 10k you can then quickly Armageddon and win.
I have also found a potential strategy myself to do all of this with the restrictions set here, but also completely itemless and without the phase skip. Again it requires an Armageddon at the end as without DLC Drivers or Scarlet Havoc/King and I/Armageddon you cannot do enough dps even in the best case scenario to kill her, she will spam too many Megidolaons so even with Double Endure you cannot do it. Even if there was some way of tanking more than that she will Diarahan + Megidolaon after hitting under 10k the second time after 2 turns so if you can't deal 5k damage twice in a row on average it's not doable, at least on Merciless. But then again, this fight was so pathetically easy in the first place anything lower than Merciless is an insult quite frankly.

Fucking SHIT! BROOOOOOOOOO!!!! I WAS JUST READING YOUR COMMEND FROM A WEEK AGO! I WAS LIKE: "man, this person really makes it sound like they know an even better way to beat Elizabeth, but why not upload it?" And wabahm! Here you are!!! Insane timing.

Haha thanks. This was actually already performed near 2 weeks ago. My big video had this fight in but I had to switch out to a 2nd persona for the Diarahan skip. It would have been weird to upload this before the other one came out so its been unlisted till today. I have a variation of this to also beat it with these same restrictions but 100% Itemless on top of that, a little trickier but it's doable so at some point I'm going to attempt that

I'd been trying this fight for several hours and I just gave up for the night. Honestly being able to be one shot repeatedely EVEN IF you follow the rules is stupid and the constant buff/debuff cycle gets exhausting fast.

If you have a persona equipped that resists her she shouldn't be able to do much damage. You can either go for Ali Dance for 50% dodge rate and capitalise on lucky turns where you dodge lots. Or go for Firm Stance + Regen 1 2 3 and tbh if you resist her and have those you will passively out heal any damage she can do to you except for Metatron cutting your hp in half. You also do double damage by hitting her opposite element and it skips her next persona. So if you hate Thor you can do like I did and use fire on Jack Frost for 2x dmg and skip Thor. This works with gems too not just persona moves although the gems dont give double dmg. You can also do this to use King and I theurgy on her Surt. If you have a good Ice persona you can beat her in 5 turns on Merciless difficulty. 4 If you use Goemon DLC.

@@Ziroikabi So I tried this on Peaceful, did too much damage to one shot before phase 3. Tried this on easy came up 133 DMG short I officially hate this boss fight. And I'm a Dark Souls vet.

I’m really interested in doing this myself and wanted to ask if it would make a significant difference in damage output if I don’t use magic ability through lucifer’s blade for this strat to still work (I play on hard difficulty)

On hard difficulty your damage output will be a lot higher! So you shouldn’t need magic ability. Although I only had amp and boost so you could opt to add single target boost instead of regen 3 if you aren’t dealing enough damage to make the threshold. Regen was just to make it more consistent but is by no means required. I think by having it on hard mode you actually have the potential to over damage and skip phase 2 by accident and forcing her to heal

Awesome content! Since you pros left every challenge accomplished involving phase skipping, I tried my personal challenge going through all phases, but without healing/buffing/theurgies. Have been discussing this with @bothdoorscares for a while, cool guy, good times. This is my current top speed kzread.info/dash/bejne/dZVopbSlZraWk84.htmlsi=-gkK2V-EwYG5LCdE To do it faster depends on her not doing buffs in phase 3. Some think her moves are purely random, but I think your actions can indeed condition hers somehow, I kept trying out different moves and got her to do only 2 disadvantageous buffs. Any thoughts about it, or willing to take the challenge? :-P Keep up the good work😊

Doors showed me one of your Elizabeth ones a few weeks ago! It's theoretically possible to beat her using exclusively melee to attack (except Armageddon sadly) and we've tried routing for a 0 theurgy kill but with best case scenario we're just over 500 dmg short on merciless with dlc. I still dont feel satisfied with the fight yet but i cant think of anything cool and unique to try. You can't even do a low level fight without modding because mandatory fights only puts you like 76, then doing monad and the reaper which you need to in order to access the liz fight takes you mid 90s. Exp scaling is wild lol!

@@Ziroikabi Hey, thanks for response :) Haha you're always going for the extremest things. Sadly I can't apply such hard restrictions because I've no full hp, but also I honestly think certain restrictions-runs can be a bit tedious to watch because you're often witnessing "wrong" moves or wasted turns where you don't do anything useful. That's why I'm quite satisfied with my solution, applying restrictions only in the measure to even the fight out but at the same time forcing you to make maximal use of the game's ressources instead of handicapping them. So for me the only essential restriction was preventing phase skipping which is effectively cheesing the fight, that's why I excluded buffs and theurgies, but not buff-cancel, because dekaja/kunda wouldn't be enough for phase skip, instead offering a helpful solution against buffs that make you waste turns like rakukaja/sukukaja. Sadly my attempts of preventing her from doing this buffs by trying actions that would condition hers weren't successful, sometimes it seemed a change in my action would also make her to change, but not consistently so, which means, rng will still determime my speedrun attempts, sadly. Means I'm in a dead end same as you, heh (btw, my restrictions also show how uneffective a physical build is compared to magic, which was also my point). What I still consider is that her actions may be partly determined by a sort of internal clock, because on some days she would always buff on certain turns, on others not (similar as it was reported that some chests reset their probability of spawning certain items every 24h). I will maybe do more testing on this, and see if I can manage a perfect run where she doesn't buff and I deal damage on every possible turn. But I think my main work is already done, and from a cinematic POV it's just nice overcoming each of her buffs at least once as my last record shows, so I think I won't spam uploads anymore, lol.
