According to Matthew 24:
Be careful, said Jesus, that no one deceives you,
for many will come and say: "I am the Christ!"
And false prophets will arise.
You will hear of war and rumors of war, but do not be alarmed.
People rise against people, kingdom against kingdom,
Famines everywhere, earthquakes here and there.
But persist to the end
then you will be happy, then you will be happy,
They will persecute you as they persecuted me.
And because of this affliction, some end up in prison.
They will hate you, they will curse you
and tempt to evil.
You feel left all alone.
Heaven and earth will perish
but my words stand forever.
