I have logged 6k+ miles 6 months on mine now. You just never get tired of it...i laugh all the time when i put it on sport or even comfy mode. hahahaha. And thank goodness for the back plastic protector for the front seats...i have 2.7 year old and he is always kicking that, imagine if it was all leather.

These things are actually making about 380~390 hp to the wheels which would translate to roughly 430~440 at the crank which would explain why they're just as fast to 60 and 1/4 mile as the F80 M3.

nocitced the silver buttons in the middle of the hvac area, they look horrible dont they? Great video/ review. I have a 2011 335 xdrive for 5 years now, and im glad i didnt buy any F30 yet- rather wait for a used 2-3 year old M340 on a few years.

Where did you borrow or rent the car? I’m seriously considering the m340 and would love to take one for an extended drive. 20 minute test drives really don’t cut it.

Hey Craig, I get them for a week from their head office as I do with all my car reviews. Maybe asking your local BMW dealer for an extended test drive (45-60 minutes) may garner a yes from them. Each dealer is different though...keep me posted!

I love this car and we'll buy it, however the back seats are terrible on a trip, like sitting on a park bench. The interior quality also isn't up to standards, the so-called soft plastics are just barely excepable and the switches, particularly in the centre console, feels cheap. However all of that does not bother me since the performance for the money is so good.

@@bobblack4594 That's what I thought. Also, kinda mad that wireless phone charging is not standard. The car I picked had everything but that and now I miss it a bit lol. They fucked up a bit with android auto/apple carplay too. Other than that, from my experience after 2k miles, the car is pretty darn awesome, can't ask for a better year-round daily driver for Illinois climates with usable rear seats for hauling people once in a blue moon. Catless downpipe and a tune down the road should make it just right.

I'd rather buy a used M3/4 Competition for less money. Nothing wrong with M340i except it's body is exactly the same as base models. Rear fenders are so flat without aggressive flares like real M3

I’ll bite. Yes, the Stinger is a terrific value but the psychology of buyers seeing a Kia logo vs a BMW logo prevents a true even match up.

@@Modern.Motoring if you are a badge snob and value a badge in the thousands of $$$$ just hang about while I grab a screwdriver and find a M 340i to debadge for you. The psychology of buyers who see a KIA badge vs a Bring My Wallet badge suffer from a little dick syndrome. I would rather spend the $$$$ difference in purchase and running costs on mods and gas and still come out in front.

@@the_batmobile0.4 define "easily destroy". The BMW will definately destroy your wallet and with a few inexpensive and subtle mods any performance deficit would be removed and you would still be streets ahead value-for-money wise. If you want to be a drag queen go for it. If you want a reasonably priced, reliable daily driver, there are plenty of option out there.
