I hope Uematsu hears this somehow
Some Periphery outros have a "now hug everyone at the venue" vibe
As hard as this album hit, it took a year to really sink in for what it is.
Periphery: This Time It's Happy
Shoutout to the legend Nobuo Uematsu, creator of the soundtrack to every 90's kid's life.
Anyone else feel like Periphery has given them a reason for living?
You’re shining and it shows
I love how this song just feels like a celebration of everything that makes the band what it is. Nice work.
Wait NOBUO UEMATSU?!?! You fucking legends!!
This song is a sunrise after too dark a night
Okay. The lyrical reference to The Way News Goes at the end hit me in the feels like a truck. PIII had just come out when I discovered the band. Crazy how much time has passed since then.
I’m not crying. You’re crying
Nobuo needs to hear this.
That outro plays the weirdest stuff on my feelings. ❤
That FF7 motif at
the passion this band has for writing music shines so bright in this song, its unreal
I sit here and listen to those last beautiful 4 or 5 minutes and just reflect and smile. I've been jamming these guys since 2005 and have enjoyed every minute. Thanks Periphery for such a wild ride. Love it.
Anyone else picking up on the references to The Way the News Goes? It honestly feels like a continuation of that song in a lot of ways. Especially at the end with the return of the “you’re shining and it shows” line. I honestly cried a lil when I first heard this, gorgeous song
There are so many nods to Final Fantasy in this it's incredible. This song means a lot to me (I discovered you guys through Misha's FF metal remixes) and I've been lucky enough to interview Uematsu so I've got genuine goosebumps listening to this. What an incredible way to end an album. Here are the nods to Final Fantasy I've noticed!
As someone who grew up playing FFVII, this is absolute pure genius. I don't think I've ever had such a massive smile on my face hearing a song for the first time.
