Assuming they didn't use extra samples under the snare sound, the snare sound surely gets close to what I (and probably many drummers) call 'perfection'. It's this robust, full scope, explosion of fat midrange gunshots. Granted, the whole drum mix sounds fucking killer. I'm not surprised if Adam Getgood mixed this, he's also mixed their albums (and Devin Townsend's last two, which sounds the best ever). The guy's maybe on of the best pop/rock/metal mixers on the planet, he makes everything sounds impressive, fat, yet beautifully balanced and with every instrument still sounding crystal clear ( I know it's subjective, but still). That's really hard to accomplish.
