Not surprised that every "cool girl" fragrance on your list is unisex. To me, things that don't lean hypermasculine or hyperfeminine, but closer to androgynous will always be more intriguing and badass. Fragrances, clothes, all of it.

Look, I know better than to expect fragrance to turn me into something I’m not, but the way I feel when rocking certain scents for sure changes what I feel capable of accomplishing. Am I a cool girl? My Iris Malikhan just came and I’m so happy! I’ve tested it 5 days ago and brought home a blotter that still radiates the scent just laying on my bedside table 🤯 In love

After binge watching your videos I just ordered a sample of The 7 virtues Santal Vanille. I have always loved Kate Walsh’s Boyfriend because of the myrrh and amber vanilla but I also love sandlewood so I’m hopeful.

To my nose, Iris Malakhan, Memo Italian Leather and Rosendo Mateau all gave me similar vibe. They are all so addictive ❤❤

I just received Oh La la from Teo Cabanel and it really made me think of this video, definitely a cool girl perfume ! A delicious, sensual, confident type of perfume but very urban and casual chic at the same time. Has some Rosendo Mateu no5 similarities. I would say it's a more casual version of it for those days when you still want to feel sexy and confident but you're wearing a well fitted jeans and a white tee shirt. A beautiful unisex fragrance that is just super cool, signature scent worthy. Thanks for your amazing content, you really made me fall in love with more gourmand leaning fragrances and I can't stop now !

Mandorle is a fantastic first fragrance for someone young and used to drugstore, designer offerings who is wanting to try a leather note. It's soft, fluffy and beautifully balanced with the other musky, almondy facets that make it a little sugar-watery yet fluffy at the same time. A comforting, elegant, ultra-wearable versatile easing into leather for anybody wanting to try a leathery fragrance. It's baby steps until you get to Chanel's Cuir de Russie or Knize Ten 🤣.

How do you know the notes in a fragrance? I absolutely adore your taste in fragrances. A good perfume reveals so much about yourself. I can just tell by the way describe each one, that you can’t even put in words how amazing it is.

Gris Charnel and Jazz Club are my go to fragrances when I want this vibe. I'm really curious to try a sample of Mandole now.....

I wonder if you've tried Sana Jardin's 'Sandalwood Temple'? One of the most elegant, creamy soft sandalwood-forward fragrances I have (and thus recommend happily). Versatile but not 'meh' in that musky-vanilla-y way. It smells both 'cool girl' and 'cool woman'. I'm sensitive to vetiver and benzoin and I detect a whisper of certain ingredients which in combination remind me of them (I think it's the vetiver and wood combination doing oddly evocative things) but thankfully this sorcery doesn't nauseate the way Affinessence's 'Vanille Benzoin' does. That one's not for me in the same way that Lune Feline is just a little too much cardamom for me too. If you love Eau Duelle, you may enjoy Sandalwood Temple. PS= I can't bring myself to backspace and offer Guerlain's Angelique Noir in lieu of ST because the price and the performance are appalling in tandem. I couldn't do that to you, how unhelpful that would be!

I just love your videos. Your humor and smarts entertain and inform me to no end. I need to sample many of these. I do own the 7 Virtues Santal Vanille and it’s gorgeous, especially for fall. I have the rollerball and that’s strong enough for me. Their Vanilla Woods is so good too though also strong so an atomizer bottle might knock me out 😅 Weird because I can wear Raven by Ellis Brooklyn which is straight patchouli and amber just fine. 10 years ago my favorite ‘cool girl’ unisex fragrance was Gris Clair by Serges Lutens. I still have some and adore it. It’s hard to explain how it smells (because I don’t know the notes besides lavender) but it just smells incredible. Very likable I’d say. Not offensive. YUM.😅

I hope you see this or someone who has le labo 13 can tell me... So i tried it, but have sprayed 2 times on my arm in shop and it was horrible. Same with jhag not a perfume intense version. I usually spray 2 times every perfume, but do i ruin it with some perfumes that are intense or it doesn't matter and it simply doesn't work with my body chemistry? It sounded perfect by the way you described it. Love your recomendations and channel, you got me in love with this fragrance world and i trust your opinion. Much love x

I've only tried Orpheon! It's nice but doesn't wow me. A woody, aromatic scent with juniper, wood, powder, and jasmine. Very simple. Like the smell of juniper bark with a powdery perfume. Dries down very average imo

herod is definitely on by to-buy list. delina didn't wow me. only safanad i felt was worth the price tag for my taste

That Rosendo Mateu No 5 is magic! I've been on a real saffron kick lately. Have you tried Tempfluo from Nishane? A boatload of saffron and citrus in the opening, a hint of praline, and a woody vanilla base. So good!

Hey Anne, it’s me again ☺️ I have a tester from bdk gris charnel. I like it but I am not in love with it. I felt like something was missing. Actually gris charnel extrait seems much more likeable but I heard about it like it’s definitely more masculine line. What do think about? Because I don’t want to smell like my husband’s perfumes 😅

Okay, so I'm rewatching your video so that I could collect my thoughts on what I wanted to say. Oud for Greatness--hell yeah. Also one of my first scents, and I absolutely love it. Rosendo Mateu Number 5? Totally not for me. I get a weird bubble gum scent from it, and I just cannot do it. But Number 4? I don't know if you have, but you should get this in your nose holes. 😂 If you love oud and saffron, with a vanilla to round it out, this is fantastic. I actually just picked this up over the weekend. I make my husband smell everything (which he begrudgingly does), and this was one the only ones he said he liked, and that he could see this being for date night kind of thing. I want to try Mandorle. Santal Vanille??? This is one of my TOP...3, now? OMIGOSH. Thank you for introducing it to me. I have Jazz Club as a holiday gift coming to me from my mom (😆). I have smelled Herod several times in-store, and I think I just need to smell it on myself, and that be the only one I smell for that day, since I'm not really getting anything from it. I want to try both Iris Malikhan and Hibiscus Mahajad. I want Gris Charnel Extrait SO BAD. I already have the OG, and I still want this one. My MIL said she may get me one of three of the ones I want on my wishlist, and this may be it, but I'm not sure. My husband said he is getting me Another 13 (😆😆😆). I cannot WAIT for the holidays!

It is an almost humorous perfume- you've got galbanum, iris, leather and buttery cookies! How can these four disparate notes blend? But they do and that iris -leather becomes sexy and alluring from its gourmandise.

Anne, your Another 13 is my Fleur de Peau from Diptyque. We have SO MANY favourites in common that every time you recommend something I sample it! I have to try Jazz Club, Eau Duelle and Mandorle, the others... I already own them. For me Iris Malikhan is in the same genre as Rosendo Mateu N 5 but more wearable for me; N 5 has that bunt plastic saffron that lasts 2 hours on me and gets me off... I have commented other times that you got me hooked on Santal Vanille and I am so happy! I own a 100 ml bottle of it and a 30 ml one that is used and I'm planning on getting another backup BECAUSE WHAT?😭Have you tried Lune Feline? I think you would like it because... cardamom!

Anne, I discovered your channel recently and I love your videos! I love good fragrance, especially gourmands, but have not explored niche fragrances as much. Your videos inspired me to purchase Coffee Break for myself and I cannot get enough of it. I also purchased Jazz Club as a stocking stuffer for my husband. I like it but it's not quite feminine enough for me. When he opens it, I will try it on myself to see if the dry down sweetens a little. My question is, I have not seen you comment on the original Dior Addict (the one in the blue bottle). That is my ride or die, dumb grab, compliments everywhere, scent. To me, it's very gourmand. It's also a fall/winter for me because I live in AZ. My other dumb grab, most complimented, is Sol Cheirosa 62. Would you mind commenting giving your thoughts on the Dior Addict? (Blue bottle, not pink).

You have great tastes! I love Addict as well. I also have coffe break and jazz club. I find coffee break pulls a little masculine on me the lavender leans like a mens blue scent. It might be because I am in a totally different climate to you in rainy London, England. I've been layering coffee brake with Mon Guerlain and loving it. You are totally right about Addict it is in my top 10 for life. It is one of the few perfumes I crave.

Maybe I will wear Oud For Greatness today!! I actually have many ouds and adore the note- strong and natural. Yes this one is mind blowing- be it quite reminiscent of 540.. My all time favorite oud is Malesia by Xerjoff, and I am about to bust open my 2nd bottle. Another "cool girl" for me is Mon Parfum- so sexy!!! A little dirty, but so sweet. Where do perfume companies get all the saffron I wonder? It's so expensive to cook with. Rosendo #5 smells like oud to me- Western oud. Not dissimilar to OFG for me- am I weird? I just have a sample of it..

Hi there, I also LOVE Herod but its quite pricey so I'm holding off until I feel ready. An ex boyfriend of mine used to wear it and I would steal a few spritz quite often. Its so deep, mysterious and magical smelling, totally unique and somehow incredibly comforting. So amazing. I do wonder, though, if I smelled it now if it would just bring up memories of my ex, and that would not necessarily be ideal for me.. THIS is a shot in the dark, but just wondering if you might consider sharing your thoughts on some vintage perfumes. I have two in specific I'd be curious to know what modern ladies think. The first one is Red, NOT Red Door, just Red. I bought it for sentimental reasons, it makes me think of my mom and my childhood, and I found it for extremely cheap at Ross. Anyway, its like 80's power-suit/shoulder pads vibes to me, but still kind of fresh but then also dirty? Really interesting smell. ..The other is Clinique Calyx which is a bring back of an old (again 80s) perfume, and this one I actually wear and like, but let me warn you its definitely green! Another idea for a video would be if you told us your top clean perfume (not clean smelling, but like vegan, non-toxic clean) recs. Would love to know. Thanks sorry for the long comment, probably no one will read this.

I totally get what you mean! Scents definitely tie themselves to memories, but if you love the scent, I say screw it and wear it until it doesn't remind of you of them, make new memories ;) I haven't smelled those vintage perfumes, but I can definitely film that clean video!

Velvet Tonka smells great in the dry down, but the alcohol concentration is way too intense. Is this a barrier for anyone else? 😕

if the idea tickles your fancy get us a guide on hair mists from luxury houses. I can't justify the big bottles of perfume (especially the ones with a hefty price tag) but i want the experience of a 50 ml bottle of hair mist or a body lotion from those dreamy brands. I am always hungry for recommendations from you and other perfume ytber but you know.. I am not Zendaya hahah. I will neved go through a bottle of Oud for Greatness and yet a 10 ml decant of that same heavenly scent leaves my hungry for a luxury experience. I feel like there is a hole in youtube content between commercial and niche

I totally understand! I definitely don't think people need 100ml bottles of all these perfumes, I say just wear what you love and if you have some mad money you can treat yourself with, perfect :) 30ml, travel sprays, hair mists, lotions, whatever is best for you, works just as well!! ❤️

OFG is my evening signature scent. I couldn't figure out how they made it, but then it hit me, i think it's made with a high dose of Red Cedar Oil? I know that's a stretch, but i honestly believe that. I have had girls pick me up in public while wearing it 🤣🤭 It's groundbreaking, never smelt anything like it. I didn't enjoy it at first, but found myself smelling the atomizer daily and a year later it hit me how special it is. Rosendo #5 was a blindbuy for me, but doesn't reflect my personality, so i might rehome my bottle. I will say it smells very erotic on a woman. I think if i had to pick one fragrance that woman love the most on a man, it's Herod. Im obsessed with the note of Iris in perfumery, it's my fav. I need to try Iris Malikhan!! :D Anne what are your thoughts on Le Labo Noir 29?

Yesss those fragrances are seriously something else!! I know Noir 29 gets a lot of love, but I really don't like it haha! It smells like a straight up bag of loose leaf black tea to me, very earthy 😝
