Roger was never a perfumer by this. He was a creative director of Dior back then. The perfumer who created it was Jean Louis Sieuzac, one of the greatest perfumers of all time, who also created Bel Ami by Hermes (the best leather in the game, imho), Opium by YSL (another masterpiece for women), Or Black by Pascal Morabito (super understated oriental) and a few more. What interesting, he is very much known for quality of the work, and not quantity. Probably that's why he only has like a dozen perfumes in his portfolio, but all, ALL of them are absolute wonders.

Thanks for this review of this classic fragrance, Aaron. Fahrenheit was hugely popular for a number of years back in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It was the Sauvage of its day. I was blown away by it when I first smelled it. It was love at first sniff. I wore it constantly for about two years, but familiarity can breed contempt and I became a bit bored with it and started buying other fragrances.I still have a bottle of it of. My wife loves it and I still like it, but I don't love it like I used to. Like many classic fragrances, I think it lost it's X-factor when it was reformulated. Having said that, it doesn't smell old and I'd rather wear it than the countless identikit sweet synthetic bubble gum fragrances that are so popular with young people today.

For me Fahrenheit was in 1990 what Sauvage was 5 years ago...it seemed to be everywhere, as was Joop! and most guys over applied them so they came across a touch noxious, especially in an enclosed space. Each fragrance has its time then the world moves on but we keep wearing them mainly because of the memories they evoke even if the DNA of the scent is, well...'vintage'. I swear i got this earlier than 98 but no matter, iove it. So many scents are what i call "fish cologne" because it's so strong it overpowers many feet away, but i love this one. I also love Eau Sauvage and tragically for me, Gucci Rush for Men, which many times had people in a room sniffing the air till they got to me and said "Is that you I'm smelling?" It was my sweat and Rush as i used it as deodorant, lightly. I loved the way it mixed with my chemistry. It's so hard to find and sometimes didn’t survive intact due to age. But i have one half bottle and wear it on special occasions. For me, Gucci Rush for Men is amazing, with Fahrenheit and Eau Sauvage 2nd and 3rd. Iove your reviews and you seem to look even healthier than you did in the past. I Thank You and wish you happiness.

Lots of things have better quality ingredients. Lots of things are excellent. Fahrenheit singular. It's like Coca-Cola. An original recipe that just works and then influences things for generations. It also straddles rock n' roll and class perfectly, and warm and hot weather perfectly. The ozonic green violet leaf means it works in the summer. I have things 4 times the price and I still adore it.

Fahrenheit EDT is a 1988 release. The perfumer was Maurice Roger. Dioriviera was created by Francis Kurkdjian. Thanks for the review, Aaron!

Love your videos. I binge watch so many of them. Never stop please!! Great review I would love to see you review Fahrenheit Le parfum and compare it to the EDT would make a great video. Keep up the great work
Untouchable & timeless fragrance! True masterpiece!
EXcellent review Aaron. Thanx for your great knowledge, very helpful. Blessings.
After this video, we need a review of Amouage Portrayal Man.
Another excellent review. I have two bottles of Fahrenheit, when Dior's Paris address was 30, Avenue Hoche. This stuff is legend. IMO, right up there with vintage YSL Kouros.
My fav Sifu perfumer, greetings from the hot greece,,great work great mood keep teaching us that magic world of perfumes!
Thanks for this review. This fragrance has been on my mind lately though I haven’t worn it in years. I found a bottle of Gucci Guilty Absolute , which I hear is a modern take on Fahrenheit, pretty cheap online so plan to rock that when the temperature drops.
Love your work and your reviews! Fahrenheit is just an amazing perfume, that every men should have in their collection! Blows my mind everytime I wear it! P.S. : Love from Romania!
This is easily one of my favourite fragrances of all time. I have probably gone through 5-6 100 mL bottles over the years! PS. Aaron, you are incredible! Great perfumer and a great reviewer! I am a big fan of your Maverick and Supernova!

I bought a 2 year unopened original Fahrenheit EDT. Do they last and smell fresh even after years? I had to buy this 2 year old bottle because it was not expensive for me. Please help me, i wonder if they go bad or not, and when they start to go bad in quality and intensity.
Ive only got 2 bottles of perfumes and looking to get a few more, just wanted to say i love your video format. The aroma breakdown really thorough and understandable compared to all the other channels with a chill vibe. Easy sub👍👍
Great review! Dior Fahrenheit as signature/all-rounder, Dior Homme Cologne for the Summer, and Dior Homme Intense or Parfum for special ocassions. Dior truly has it all. Imho Fahrenheit is one of the greatest all-rounders in perfumery.

An excellent review from a perfumers view point. Dior is my favourite fragrance house. (ATH fragrances aren’t far behind). I don’t own Farenheight Parfum yet. Be great to hear your thoughts on that one Aaron.
Well done! I love your reviews!
I like you being able to say its great and respect the craft even though it's not for you. Very well articulated review iv never had it and am currently waiting on it to be delivered looking forward to trying it 👌🏻
This was always one of those fragrances that was very polarizing...people either loved or hated it, and you summarized it well. Even if you don't like it, you respect it. This thing was everywhere in NY way back and it still stands the test of time. This is a staple in my winter collection...

The Le Parfum version is where it's at! Maybe, one of the most unique fragrances of all time? Great review! ;)
Top review/breakdown as always ATH👍

Great and supremely knowledgeable reviews from this guy
Thanks Aaron for updating reviews! 👍...no change on the rating though 🤷♂ Another topic, I just found that your review of 'Grey Vetiver' by Tom Ford is not in your playlist, although it is in "videos" section.
Man the Le Parfum flanker is pure magic ❤🪄absolutely love it but yes, great review on the (meh) modern day OG Fahrenheit EDT👍
After 30 years, it’s still one of my favorite fragrances.
Its fascinating how you translate the smells into images!!!
I suppose I could say that this is one of the few blind buys that I did not like personally, but I was blown away by the longevity and character. Gave it to a picky friend who loves ombre leather. I think it might be his signature scent now.
Fahrenheit is the best perfume ever made and anybody who disagrees with that is wrong. 😅

I used to wear this in college (mid '90s) and no other scent has ever gotten me more attention and comments. Don't know if it would still be as complimentary to my body chemistry 30 years on, but I almost want a fresh bottle to find out. Cool review.
Thank you for your review I was wanting an honest review on this scent as I've been in my head over getting my nephew whom turns 30 and was wanting to know if it was outdated and you've confirmed that it's not, will be purchasing him a bottle as I've always loved the scent hope he loves it too.
Hi Aaron, love your quality review, your knowledge and nose is spot on! Where did you get your t-shirt?
The parfum is even better imo, the vanilla is so good in that one. I wear it all year round.. Have a good day!

I wear Fahrenheit in the fall. One of my go-too.
Would love to see you compare range like you did with channel blue. I thinking this a few days ago then you did the EDT 🙌

I love how you are able to dissect and recognise the craftsmanship of a fragrance… even when you don’t like it! I’d like to make a suggestion for a review. From a French household name that is more famous for feminine fragrances. Cacharel Pour Homme was released in 1981 and is still on the shelves today. Here in Portugal it retails for around 50€ for 100ml. I have an old sample and enjoy it very much.
Aaron, i was wondering if you have the chance to try any of the fragrances from Argos? I have six of them and I think they’re a fantastic house.
I find these reviews very relaxing but I have made two blind buys off these reviews and I have loved both!
Aaron, never EVER change your background music, please!
I was gifted this today!! I love it!! I remember it's launch well, a huge oversized bottle of it in the Switzers window, 89 I think!
Been waiting for ages for this review. I've been wearing this for years, I think it got a reformulation a few years back (2016?), I found it difficult to buy in the shops too here in Australia, can anyone tell me if it's being discontinued? And if it is being discontinued can anyone tell me where I can get some sort of industrial sized 20 litre container of this stuff.....
You are probably referring to Francois Demachy, but Fahrenheit was created by other perfumers before his time. I do agree that it's unique.

Yes , The old one was created by Michel Almairac and he recently worked on the Brioni fragrances (EDP, éclat and intense) the Brioni EDP also share some similarities with Fahrenheit 👍
The original Fahrenheit 1988-1998 was out of this World, a sexy, exotic, spicy, intoxicating scent. Dior need to engineer it back to its former glory, the stuff nowadays sucks in comparison.
Hey Aaron, could you smell some stuff from Profumum Roma and give us your thoughts. My favourite is Acqua Viva but most of the stuff is pretty good in my opinion. Would love to see what you think about them ?
I remember smelling this in my teen years when it came in the magazine ads. It will always be a scent I enjoy.

Loved it when it was new 30 yrs ago (aswell as the original Drakkar Noir, Antaeus,…), “KL” by Lagerfeld was as huge back then, Cool Water soon to be released. Either way: Fahrenheit is a piece of art but I neither used it back then nor today due to the “Diesel”/fuel-esque note which unnerved me back then as it does now 😊

I don’t think there is a person that doesn’t like Francois Demachy’s creations. Also, I appreciate you admiring his work. Nice review Aaron.
I Love it ! The perfume has vanilla instead of the diesel so I assume I can wear it! Still haven't tested!
I would like to hear your opinion on Xerjoff Homme; it's similar to Dior Fahrenheit's description.
Would love to see you do a 'ATH goes back in time' and review your older formulations and see how you would rework things now
Would love to see you do the opiums , ladies and pour homme
All I smell is gasoline when I smell that perfume. Does it change later to where the gasoline smell goes away?

I was not a fan of this because on the petrol type smell. I would very much like to try the parfum version but very hard to get a sample and the shops don't seem to stock it 🫤
To anyone who wears this: what season does this suit? For some reason its giving me a winter scent vibe.
Check out Fahrenheit Cologne, basically the last Demachy Fahrenheit flanker, great for summer.
Where do you go to buy raw materials and know your getting it from a safe and reputable source/supplier?
Still one of my Favorite fragrances. Excellent choice
I've been wearing Fahrenheit since the late 90's, along with YSL's Opium. Sadly Fahrenheit is nowhere near as strong as it used to be, but still, I'd say my scent for life, from maybe 150 different ones in my collection.
I love Fahrenheit, as i despise the blue frags full of clary sage and sea minerals... just makes me think of radox every time, so this is my go to for the hot red and green notes. the honeysuckle and violet are what carries the scent for me. I just wish absolute version wasn't discontinued. but absolute was myrrh, violet and oud... it was fantastic dark but warm.

Yes I despise blue frags too. They remind me of locker rooms, teenagers who have sprayed too much deodorant and blue collar guys who have a good scrub, and gone out desperately looking to get some action. But hey, I'm in a minority, people love them, both guys and girls.

EDT or EDP. In the UK, you can het the EDP everywhere, but you cannot find the EDT. As soon as they replenish the shelves, it is gone before you can purchase it.
My sister bought me this for a Christmas present, 100mls of it.😊 In hot and humid climates, it smells too musky. Smells best in cold and dry weather.
Hadn't you done a review of this perfume a few months ago? Be that as it may, it is a wonderful and complex fragrance.
You really should review the Parfume version it's totally different. I don't care for the edt either, but the Parfum is great!
would love to see your opinion on Givenchy gentleman Edp Boisee
I love the leather smell in it because it reminds me of Mytravel and Thomas cook planes with the leather seats in them.
I walked into a Sephora's today & sampled "Fahrenheit" & concluded that I will not miss it however I'm sure it'll work for others.
I just bought the parfum yesterday!
One of the first bottle of cologne I ever bought still love the scent
First time buying it. I love it! Smells good. Last all day. Not over powering. Great smell.
I've smelled well over 100 fragrances. Maybe 200 at this point and nothing is as original as Fahrenheit. Not Black Afgano, not anything I've encountered. Nothing is quite like Fahrenheit.
Aaron, please try the Parfum version. It share the same DNA with the original, but is way more boozy, vanillic, smo(oooo)th and not as petroly. It's the most "niche" designer fragrance out there.
