Genesis M 4:29 is "The One with a Thousand Arms and Thousand eyes" as known as Guanyin This dance is representative of the Guanyin or Avalokiteśvara as the creator god of the world. Guanyin is androgynous or perhaps without gender. This version of Avalokiteshwara with a thousand arms depicting the power of all gods. What I find interesting is that In one version of this legend, when Guanyin was executed, a supernatural tiger took her to one of the more hell-like realms of the dead. However, instead of being punished like the other spirits of the dead, Guanyin played music, and flowers blossomed around her. This completely surprised the hell guardian. The story says that Guanyin, by merely being in that Naraka (hell), turned it into a paradise. I believe this story fits in well with Taemin's concept. I have so many notes on theories of Taemin's songs over the years.

To me the energy was better in this video, he went all out with the hip rolls and popping during the bridge! I'm assuming this one was the first take before the one shot one.

I think this is one of Taemin`s most beautiful stages; the choreography, the vocals, the 12 dancers. The visuals are insane; he looks androgynous, both delicate and sexy - love when he shows his teeth :). BTW, for the first time I like the stage better than the one take, you have the close ups to appreciate his facial expression and the camera movements are not unpleasant.

He is Lee Taemin, he ate those choreography.. This song is sequel of Mystery Lover.. Go watch his Off Sick on Track Concert..You're gonna hypnotized by him..I warn you..

Oh my goodness! Finally someone else said it. I've been thinking this everytime I listened to Black Rose. They have the same haunting sound and beautiful vocals. Mystery Lover is one of my fave Taemin songs.

Taemin is so graceful. Everything about him.

His vocals for this song are off the charts good. When I was watching this I was like is it really live vocals? But then I watched today's performance in Musik Bank and he sung the same except today you could definitely tell it was live. Anyway I love this choreo.

Agreed. I really loved Black Rose on the album but I've been obsessed ever since the stages. I'm just really into the mix of hard-hitting choreo and the more graceful/eerie parts (the arm spiral is everything!). I found it interesting about the hip rolls, because it's not like there's a dearth of them in male choreos, but something about this particular execution did strike me as non-typical. And I live for the way the performance opens with Taemin and his girls just strutting, it's the kind of energy I need to manifest in my life.

He gets pretty low too if you just wanted to watch the performance on korean music shows (probably not react as it's old, and copyright, but still for fun?) I wasn’t sold on this song at first listen but I absolutely love it now especially after seeing his stages for it; the choreo is so unique and well suited for it. The prolonged spinning flower formation was just absolutely stunning.

you're right about taemin going for commercial/modern type of dancing. taemin always had very old pop dance influence in him, MJ, old school poppin and hip hop. so its refreshing to see him dance to much more modern type of hip hop(very much like nct style). i think him being in super m kinda helped him in this aspect. but the fact that he also nails it proves his versatility and talent

To be honest, that song wasn't a favorite for me. I liked other songs on his album way better. But after seeing the stage performance, I think i finally get the message/vibe of the song and I really like it. The performance is so beautiful and it makes the song whole. I'm loving it 😍
