I like your limited palette approach that you have changed to recently. I have a lot of colors, but like to use just a few, and push them one way or another. I learn a lot from every video you produce. Thank you SO much!
I am a new sub to your channel and I have been enjoying your painting tips and tricks enormously. I am fairly new to WC painting and long to do it well. I work mainly with acrylics and I am an abstract artist. But I want to get better at realism and I thought beginning with flower painting in WC might be something to give me some good practice at mixing, etc. Thank you so much for all of your videos. I find them informative, easy to follow, and with wonderful detail and excellent explanations of your techniques. I love your aesthetic! Bless xo
This really help me. I'm trying a NJ January Forrest as a backdrop. Painting is a 90th birthday gift. Thanks.
Wow!! Stunning!

Louise- this is so helpful! I recently asked a question about color mixing, and this tutorial is better than just the answer. I am learning so much from your tutorials.
Really helpful tips Louise. I really struggle to see the colour that’s created because I know the colours that are used so I still them. Even watching you I was thinking oh that’s too blue or that’s too yellow but when it was finished it looked beautiful. I just can’t get past the separate colours to see the blend. I’m not sure if I’m making any sense 😂
Watching your videos is almost as absorbing as painting is, like waking up from a dream in which time and space had become meaningless.
Lovely! You are so wonderful at teaching. Thank you so much for your tutorials and tips. How do you tell which color is which! by that, sometimes some of the colors seem warm and they are considered cool or vice Versa?
Love the pallet,where can it be purchased…..thank you for wonderful channel
Your palette is amazing. Are they available anywhere? Thanks for all that you share. :-)
I'd really like to try some pieces with lost edges. They look really fun to do, and make for interesting compositions.
Louise ur colouring technique is very helpful and way of explanation. I learn much more from ur video. can u draw a rainy scene for me ? simple and beautiful landscape with rain please
I have so many WN paints. But I do not have Transparent Yellow. Is there a different cool yellow that I could substitute in this painting?
great drawings....are you limiting your palette so that you will be able to do prints? ... and what paper is that? Would like to know your paper preferences.
How do you keep the Ultramarine Blue from separating out in your mixes when you apply it?
Louise, haven't had a chance to watch this video yet, but thought you'd want to know every one of your Amazon links show up as either "unavailable" or "out of stock". However, if I open a new browser window and go directly to Amazon, each one of those items are available and the prices are on display. *shrugs* Ps. Signed up with Patreon last week and look forward to taking all your tutorials.
Still a beginner in watercolor. Have you ever done a your tube tutorial of a WHITE bird of Paradise flower

How much does it cost to take your class?
When you say “I take the paint off my brush” does that mean you dip it in your water or just wipe the brush off on your cloth?
@LouiseDeMasi
Жыл бұрын
I usually give it a quick dip in the water container and a quick wipe on the cloth- it takes about a second.
Hi Louise, I’m wondering how you remove the paper tape from your gator board after cutting the painting off. I tried it for the first time and the tape stuck quite a bit 😳🙏
@LouiseDeMasi
Жыл бұрын
Hi Melissa, I soak my gator board in the bath for about ten minutes. It floats so I put the side with the tape on it facing the water. It comes off easily after a quick soak.

@@LouiseDeMasi thanks for your response Louise. I wonder if my Gator board is different to yours the one I have is coated in a cardboard/paper coating where as it appears that yours is covered with plastic. I wonder if it would be okay to soak mine?
@LouiseDeMasi
Жыл бұрын
@@Lissajayne75 I'm not sure. If you put paper on the board when it's wet and the surface is ok with that maybe try wetting it with a spray bottle and scraping it off with something.
