The Glue sounds very very nice, must get that one. Thanks for some of your mixbus sauce share guys

The Cytomic The Glue plugin seems great, I downloaded the demo version! The T-RackS Classic Compressor also seems good, I will compare the two.
Feel very lucky, these professionals sharing their hard-won knowledge with us... thanks for the channel and the vids.

It is always great to hear( and see ) Marc D’s take on things when it comes to mixing. Likewise his explanations which are really educational. A true gem, I must say.
ssl native buss compressor mk2 and the louder than liftoff silver bullet plugins is my go to these days. Rarely switch on my hardware since i put these two together on my mixbuss.
hey great stuff. I like using the craneborne Carnabys (EQ), WES audio Dione (SSL type Compressor) and the SPL Big (stereo width) to preshape my mixes. Just as a Top Down approach.
Some great plugins there. I like the Cytomic the glue, it's a nice plugin. Thanks very much guys for the tips and a great big thank you to the PLAP team
Marc is the man! I’m always left wanting to buy the plugs he uses. Lol
Marc always giving us Indiana music producers some encouragement...💯🔥
That's a beautiful piece of music.
new fangled so good
What's with the audio pops throughout Marc Nelson's segment? Good info though! Would you say the trick with the Ampex and the API eq works the same if you are using the same eq type on the UA API Vision Strip, too?
The options for plugins these days are mind boggling. Did anyone suddenly feel the urge to buy one they saw here? I know I did. But, I then realized... I have a sht ton of alternative options that are equally lauded by others. The lesson? I dunno. Keep cool?
Forgot about The Glue, I must try it again. Good compressor.
SSL native BUS Comp 2 is the best in my opinion
Being as Ableton Glue Compressor is Cytomic's stab at the SSL Buss Compressor, is The Glue the same as Ableton's one?
Wow, he's using that old old version of that IK Multimedia T-Rack's Commpressor. Back when they were using that dinosaur as a logo😅

All very subtle. If you blink..... if you imagine.... you hear a difference
SSL has finally put out their own version of their comp, and i prefer that one. all their plugs are amazing for mastering!

Are you referring to the SSL Native Bus Compressor 2? Very good bus compressor, indeed! SSL had previous versions of their bus compressor (going back to the Duende days), but the Bus Compressor 2 is SSL's best version to date (in my opinion). It even includes a selection of oversampling. 👍
@tommyaudio

@@ProsodySound yeah, that's the one i meant...SSL with oversampling, all we need now is a beer! 🍺🤓
does that eq shift phase in a certain way that you like?
Good stuff! Pretty sure Taupe is pronounced tope (as in the color).
Fantastic episode!
The ProTools limiter at the end sounds distorted.
Does anyone know the song name from Darrell's video?
Nice video guys. 😁

I don’t necessarily disagree however, different styles of music require different treatments. I think for the first and 3rd tracks you don’t want the level of sheen that works so well for the 2nd and is definitely Marc’s style. That said… MDN is an absolute legend.
Do I have like 9 plugins on the mix bus? Absolutely. Do only 2 of them actually do something to the sound (ie - isn’t an analyzer or for specifically listening to a specific frequency range)? Yup
MDN is a GOD!
@Producelikeapro where can i find the Mixing Template of Marc Daniel Nelson?????

Hey guys, what do you think of the Tegeler Creme Hardware?
@kristianmarschewski1590

it´s realy great, the compression is a little bit more on the smooth side, compared to the SSL stuff. The Creme RC is also great, because you can recall it digitaly, which nice.

Interesting! They named their DAW after the MixBus! Haha
How strange is the fact that Phil Allen mixes with practically no low end? I wonder if he sends stems to mastering?
Wow, some of those moves are pretty subtle. I can barely hear the difference half the time :/

Don’t think it’s you, but not every genre or clients wants super tight, punchy, drums. If his mixes are getting approved he’s doing something right.
Marc kinda favors Theo Von.
Whats the actual point of using all these old ass plugins when you sit on hardware worth 100’s of thousands ??? And it sounds really bad too!
I met you once, in London back in the day. Are you not bored of this. Sure, there aint enough money to spread in the arts, but this? Your a salesman promoting anything that will make you money, and your examples to project that are very poor. If your looking for the next big thing to work with, this will make that only a distant dream. I think your better than that.
Even though this video is about "mixbus": processing, the three engineers are not going thorough a mixbus but thorough master fader. It is my understanding that the difference between Mixbus and master fader is that mixbus inserts are pre fader and master fader the inserts are post fader. Also have read on the interweb somewhere the compressors should always be put on mixbus with pre fader sends so fader movements do not effect how hard the compressor is hit.

Wut 😂
@Paulnap
7 ай бұрын
That's technically correct. Mixbus stands just as "the whole mix goes through this channel" I supose.
@kristianmarschewski1590
7 ай бұрын
the Mixbus is the group channel for every subgroup and all the multitracks. the Master fader controlls the output. it makes more sense to route the mix through the mixbus, because often you have rafferance/guidetracks in your session, and you dont want to apply the same processing to your referances, you do to your mix.
