love that so helpful but what if my essay is about a challenge, not an activity it's mentioned but the prompt is about my growth and self-development after a significant tough period that changed some of my perspectives and values

Should be relatively the same, you still need to show how you grew from the experience, so an anecdote after you describe your challenge should work.

@@erikalenh5 Ok so just to be completely transparent I won't share the essay publicly without permission, but as since I'm doing this for free, the amount of feedback I can provide won't be as thorough due to time constraints 😓. The exception is if it's for a video, then I can spend more time with it. (if I were to review the essay on the channel, it would be next year so no worries about that as well if you're worried about direct competition with same grade level peers)
