Nice Job, I would have just used a soft cloth with soap and followed it up with acetone wipe down for any remaining spots for the glass globe cleaning though.

I have this exact lanturn I use it when I go outside at night so I can see when I go to start a fire in the pit

Nice job. When my family moved to a farm in rural Sussex, UK. in 1953,we actually used these type of lamps. As there was no gas, electricity, or mains water. This restoration therefore holds a special interest for me. Thank you for sharing.
