I was waiting for the bow to open and a mini sub to emerge.

Have to appreciate the time, effort and money invested into this floating condo. Really spectacular craftsmen with incredible attention to detail. She really shows like new hard to believe it's a 50 year old boat.

That's a big ol home depot grill station. I'd lose it in favor of something smaller than can be mounted on the transom or somewhere.

Modern yacht designers may need to look to the past , for future concept ideas , love the layout 👍🙂

@@MrMartwy depends on how many ppl you would want to be on board. If you have only four members of family, and you have 74' boat with 5 rooms..... that is a true wasting of space.

I love these huge boats for under $1million, show us more!

I am with you. As for me, I have a lot of pets whose spine holds ink laden paper with time honored wisdom. Thus, bookcases that would fit to avoid obstructing the windows would be my thing. Also, heat/air depending on where work took me.

But for 50 years the lady has been in very good shape. By renovating a beautiful Yacht again. ⚓👌🛥♥️

She's an AMAZING boat! Extremely comfortable!

This Bertram has some great features. The grill. The hammock. The low time on engines and generator. You didn't mention anything about air conditioning. I really like the upper and lower salon spaces. Great tour. Rico really is good with the camera. Nice dingy. 🙃😉

@@NautiStyles Im so used to vegas weather I forget the rest of the world is different. Thinking back, Our house in Newport had A/C and we almost never used it.

Just love the interaction between you two. You work so well together. I can't afford the yacht (now), but it's such an entertaining treat!

Makes me want to live on the water! Oh wait, I already do. Just a little more. Very relaxing vibe. I have watched this four or five times. That truly would be a fantastic live aboard for a retired couple. Hmm. Sounds like my Honey and me.

Wow.. That floor is classy. More things to add to my list. Pocket doors on a refit is a great touch. Loft style. Lots of things!

I love that boat I always like the older ones 1949 Chris Craft restorative from scratch but I loved everything they did to that boat they had lots of extra room thank you and have a awesome weekend

this is definitely one of my favorites out of all the yachts you have shown I just love the old nostalgic feel the boat has and I do like the look as well what a Beautiful vessel. 🙂👍

For sheer real estate this is possibly the most yacht for the money I've seen. The refit looks amazing.

Whenever I watch a boat video I instinctively analyse the value of every piece of the boat in a rolling sea with 3 meter waves and a sheet of rain pounding away in an 80 MPH headwind. I was looking for someplace to hold onto that beautiful stainless steel BBQ kitchen set at the bow :) Honestly though, you can tell this refit was done by a master of the trade. Where else are you going to find those little loop hole latches (20:06) on the cabinets ? That kind of stuff is the difference between nautical knowledge and Popeye wisdom :)

That was a fantastic tour of an amazing boat, this would be an amazing purchase

For $500k you get to live on the water with the best views. A really good option for a couple

Apart from the missing dish washer I absolutely LOOOVE the vibe and nostalgia feel to this boat ... and the new owner will get a WAAST amount of bang for his/her bucks. TYVM for the tour of this gem ;-)

Great video - Love the channel. As a Bertram owner with 8v92's in ours @ 720 hp each, that boat is no where near 24kts WOT and a cruise of 15kts. We can achieve those speeds plus 1 or 2 more kts. Maybe she'll hit 12 WOT and a cruise of 10kts. 12v71's or 92's in that beast and you might get close, but Bertram's are massive deep V's and heavy! I don't think DD made 8V92 TA's at 480 hp, but i could be wrong? Love to see people restoring Bertie's!

I’m a new subscriber and I’ve binge watched a number of videos. You both do a nice job. Quite entertaining. Please forgive my impertinence as I say Victoria is easy on the eyes and I do enjoy the view from the rear.

What I like about Victoria and Rico’s, yacht videos, is they are both knowledgeable about a wide range of yacht sizes, equipment and they can articulate everything very well. The other thing I like about Rico, he doesn’t disrespect his wife for views and likes. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

You could put the dishwasher on the other side of the kitchen counter facing the bow. Just around the corner has nothing there! Add some cabinets to surround the dishwasher. And, a shelf above the sink for the microwave and Keurig! This is AWESOME....

Liverpool UK 🇬🇧 here. If we had a better climate I wouldn't hesitate to bring her over. Water front apartments are about the same cost, but who would prefer a generic tower block over this, it's absolutely fab!

Great walkthrough,guys.An amazing boati used to. live on the Wilmington River near Savannah Georgia I used to watch those big ass Bertramsblazing out to the fishing grounds at30 to40knots.I would watch,and cuss at them,because I knew they were throwing a huge wake that was going to rock my little 1980 28’ Cris Craft Catalina.Rock,but not hurt becauseI had it tied off the floating dock with a weighted line.Thank you,Victoria for correcting Rico on the Barbecue.That’s kind of a pet peeve of mine,because my pulled pork starts out wit a Boston Butt that’s been smoking in my Weber bullet smoker for 12 hours,usually over hickory chunks with a little pecan wood for good measure.After I had all the meat off the bone and chopped,I finished it off with a traditional North Carolinavinegar based sauce.Put that on a bun with a little tart coleslaw,and you have some very good eating. Thank you for the video.

This is exactly what I want, spacious, big, beautiful, and inexpensive for it's size and the work that was done on it. I'm ready to move in, come on lottery! lol

And as a bonus remember you can just pump out all your dirty water / toilet water in to the ocean rather than bother with emptying toilets and other yucky stuff.

Riptide was my favorite tv show and this would let me live like I was a character on the show

The internet ate my comment, dontcha hate it when that happens? Anyway, I love this boat for the way they renovated the space into a perfect liveaboard, or as Victoria says, "a condo on the water" and Rico chimes in "It feels like a loft" and both are correct. If you want to go, it's ready to go; if you want to anchor it and hang around, it's ready for that, too. What a steal for under half a million! I want it, I want it... but by the time I'm ready to get on the water this will have a happy new owner, for sure. The renovations are done so well. Many owners would have been satisfied to do much less and call it a day, but this owner went the extra mile, or should I say the extra hundred thousand dollars above and beyond what would have been a great renovation, all the way to making it a brilliant one like-new boat. Wow, I am impressed, and I can usually find fifty problems!

With all the different levels for sleeping, dining and entertaining, this feels bigger than 74’

Every time we are in FL we try to do a Horizon, and it always sold 😝🙈 we will keep trying, we have a great realtor with the shipyard (I love them!) so as soon as there is one avail and we are avail we will make it happen

@@paulcrathorn5707 The doors you can put some padding too help. but the lid will be tough to stop. I didn't notice if it was secured in place or if it was portable. I know they moved some things to show the Brand new fuel tanks. If it is not movable I would put some type of rubber mat between the deck and the stainless.

I love watching the layouts of the yachts made in the 60’s and 70’s. There always seems to more room in the salon and galley. Seems more liveable.

Was not overly impressed until you did the interior reveal. And, I love, there are still opportunities to add your own touches. A perfect match of blending ownership. For the price it is a deal!

I love this yacht! Lower salon is amazing!!

It's a massive vessel - on the outside - and very nicely restored. But for $500K one would like do better financially - as well as space wise - with a used Nordhavn, Selene, DieselDuck, or any other slower but very comfy trawler yacht in the 50 foot range. That said, those are normally snapped up quickly, so a GB or similar (not as seaworthy but perfectly good for liveaboard) might be the more realistic option. Size isn't everything, and as space isn't very efficiently used aboard this Bertram, size comes comes with extra cost for moorage, bottom paint, basic maintenance and upkeep, etc, without the benefits for a 74' vessel. Sorry for being the "dissenting voice" among the comments ;-) Keep on doing great videos though!

The Boat is Amazing I watch your beautiful Vid twice :) I think as a living place also summertime Turing the Greek Islands is perfect occasionally you might charter for 3 months and the rest is yours:)Those renovations + 900HP engines its a WOW For me no way couldn't match living in land with all the noises + weird neighbors :) Thank you so much :) still dreaming:):)

I would much rather own one of these classic Bertram’s than own a modern style type of motor yacht. This yacht would be wonderful to live onboard. The owner outdid himself with this remodel. This is another great video that y’all have done!

The owner did a fantastic job, it definitely looks like a condo on the water. The engine room which could have shown its age was a definite attention to detail with how clean and updated it was. I would think that it would cost more. That's a lot of living space for that amount.

I like how the interior is very livable. You see so many yachts with beautiful interiors, beautiful to the point your afraid to touch anything, everything too perfect, a boat where they constantly tell the kids to not touch anything. A very comfortable looking boat. Maybe some better furniture choices.

What a GREAT refit, the owner must have super vision to take on a project like that. QUESTION... could you check did he do the rework... LA area or Ensenada? Thanks again for this lovely tour.

Just feel the need to finally say...you guys are just great.the perspective ,the view in which you share is a normal every persons point of view (the normal people at least).you guys have really developed a good system and order of things.informative along the lines of what's really relevant, without stepping across the too slow or to drawn out....which keeps the viewer unable to pull away or loose interest.you also seem to to be pleasant with each other taking one anothers sometimes aggrivating annoying habits with a grain of salt and and seem to almost enjoy them making humor with instead of being to bothered with to deeply or sinically. Which is the secret to long ,healthy ,flourishing,relationships wether it be with husband wife,freind,relative,child or any other human on the planet.love your videos..my granny used to say .when the food tastes great....don't alter the recipe

You too are becoming too good at this...the out takes are becoming scarce :) Another AMAZING boat....never thought about live-on-board vessels but this one...with reasonable doc fees is an absolute dream! I wonder though; is it as easy to get a mortgage on a boat as it is on a regular property? Or do these boats have to paid in full usually? Thanks guys"!
