$399,500 2005 OCEAN ALEXANDER Classico Sedan Yacht Tour / Trawler Liveaboard

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This Yacht is for Sale: bit.ly/3f2TR2L
You guys keep asking us for more Tours of Good, Affordable Liveaboard Power Yachts. This week are showing you a rare find! It's an OCEAN ALEXANDER 45 Classico Sedan built in 2005 and I wish we had seen one like this when we were searching for our liveaboard because it has a lot to offer!
My personal favs were: massive Flybridge, safest & the most comfortable walkaround I have ever seen on this size of a yacht, very interesting design of the heads, good 2nd cabin for a couple, and a very bright and airy galley! The engine room also had some pleasant surprises!
It would definitely make a good liveaboard for someone, as well as a great Starter Yacht, weekend boat, or Coastal Cruiser.
One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that if you are thinking of buying a Boat to Live on, the LOA does matter. For example, in MDR lots of Marinas require a boat to be a minimum of 35ft to be approved for an Official Liveaboard. #PowerYacht #OceanAlexander
Let me know what you guys think of it in the comments and how you think it compares to our Boat

    SUGGESTION: You need to talk about how much it costs to park and service a boat at a marina. That, more than depreciation, is the biggest issue. Most people who are new to boating have NO IDEA. It is not like you can spend $600,000 on a well kept 90' superyacht from the 80s and call it a day.

  • @nslouka90

    @nslouka90

    The price can vary for each marina, city and state. There are also costs for things boat size, insurance, utilities and waste disposal that differ from person to person so trying to come up with a ballpark figure can be difficult.

    @solimanel-deeb8922

    True! In Miami it could cost around $17+/ft for wet slip/parking your boat on water. This could run thousands of dollars per month only to park. So having a boat is like having a second family to support. It would be cheaper if you have your own dock in front of your house. That way pay for your housing and have a free dock instead of paying for dock and not have a house.

    I know virtually nothing about yachts, but I believe I heard somewhere that you can expect to spend 10% of the yacht's purchase price per year on docking, maintenance, insurance and fuel. The other problem is that, unlike a house, it is a depreciating asset.

    @@solimanel-deeb8922 not sure about $17/ft. It’s around $1/ft per day on the low end to around $2.50/ft per day. So basically $1500 to $4500 per month for dockage, then there’s electricity, sewage ( free at lager marinas) tv, internet etc etc etc etc. if it floats, flys, xxxx’s. Rent it

This allows me to decide what type of vessel I’m going to purchase in the near future. At this point I’m sold on the 40 to 45 foot trawlers btw: Im not too young for one ! Thanks Ricco and Victoria

    @@NautiStyles IKR..💖⚓.. I grew up on a river with an (I'm guessing) 18 ' StarCraft, with a 75hp (or 125hp) Mercury. I had the keys to the boat at 11 years old. First time I was ever on a sail boat was with my uncle in a shalliw lake, and I had no clue at 5 years old, (after 'motor-boating' with ski crazy dudes in the early 60's) that a sail boom was going to swing around, bonk me in the head, & knock me out of the boat. What was worse, was my uncle laughing at me while he was hooking my life jacket to pull me out of the drink. I cried all the way back to shore.. No sails for me please.. 🚤🛥

    This vid, again your out takes were delicious - I love your relationship. Hugs to both of you. But another thing that totally made me smile, at the beginning of the video I did not hear you mention Newport and I assumed you're still in Florida. But you were standing at the back of the Classico and I saw the road over-pass behind you and, just only from that, I new it was Newport because I stood at that same location buying a boat way back in 1997 - that was the last time I was there. I recognized that small view of the marina from ~24 years ago. You even had the same weather. Your video was like visiting an old friend. **I love Marinas and it made me think I really enjoyed the videos you've done of MDR tour. When you travel to boat review sites, the Marina tours could also be very popular vids, maybe interview some local Marina users too.

    Another gorgeous boat. And one that's _not_ ridiculously priced too (not that I have $400k available :( ). I paused on the radar arch and it _LOOKS_ like it wouldn't take much to make that foldable. It looked like there was an exhaust vent over the cooktop there in the galley, not a huge one but for a 45' not bad at all! No stabilizers though, this one will roll a lot especially with that relatively narrow beam. . Rico obviously doesn't mind us admiring his favorite mermaid. Thank you V & R for another lovely tour.

    Love your channel!!! I'm also a fan of the Sailing Uma channel which for 8 years has chronicled a lovely couple (both Architects) who are super creative and smart who have totally refitted their 36' sailing vessel (Uma). They have sailed to the Caribbean, Norway, Iceland, Scotland, France Spain and have even crossed the Arctic circle!, a first for E-boatss. Originating in Florida and all a Solar powered Sail boat. They have about 350 episodes that are VERY informative and entertaining. Their patrons have heped them to get their boat in spectacular condition. They would be an excellent candidate for a tour as they have very out of the box ideas most of which have gone quite well and have challenged to saling industry. You will love them I'm sure. Start from the beginning so you get the entire picture. They are very thorough and fun. Cheers!

    In most places you can't hardly buy a decent house for as much as some of these less expensive yachts. If I had the money I would totally invest in a yacht over a house where you might not like your neighbours which is usually the case haha. Plus I have always wanted to travel, I guess my sin is envy, because I envy the way you people get to live your lives. You get to travel the world and see all kinds of places and do all kinds of great things. A great life is full of variety, people and places. From my standpoint you both are very lucky people, That's a compliment❤ I hope you both realize how lucky you truly are❤

    I want to suggest you look at the Grand Banks 47, it was offered as a Europa which meant it had a covered area at the rear which helped a bit to keep the sun off you. There was a Grand Banks 47 classic which had the aft cabin and was a great design. I think you would be surprised by the build quality and the fact it could easily be operated by one or 2 people. My late parents initially had a Grand Banks 32 which was the smallest one they made. The newer designs are very good and I personally like them. For me given a choice I would have a Grand Banks 52 Europa, it has plenty of room and will see you through any rough seas. The Grand Banks boats have been going for 60 years and are worth checking out if you have time, they have a new 85 foot one being launched so that might be of interest to yourselves. I also like Nordhavn and they are very sturdy boats, the N120 is a serious design and the delivery video of it shows how well it performs. I did note the 45 ft boat you featured had no dining tables or at least none I could see, keep up the great work.

    Keep in mind that this vessel is probably class c rated as engine room access is sealed bulkheads, doors on port and starboard probably have seals , this vessel can handle large seas, and being a trawler can travel longer distances. The things or characteristics you love are all part of classic flushdecks trawlers and ocean Alexander has and always been a tried and true vessel. For the money show me a rated vessel for under 400k that offers what your have presented, love the trawler, and enjoy your channel. Thanks
