The problem is mma fighters claim stepping with the kick is wrong, they say it telegraphs the kick. Thats because they do it wrong. if stepping is wrong why are thailands best fighters and best kickers all stepping.

They sacrifice power to not telegraph the kick and I think it’s because they want to prevent getting their kick caught because rather than just leading to maybe a sweep or a counter it could lead to a takedown and take the fight to the ground.
