Actually I reckon the blend on the sides worked well. Young Will may have a slightly differing opinion. Like you said, I told him to "suck it up princess" and now he's OK. He is only 10 and I still have plenty more lockdown haircut opportunities for me to learn on... muuuuhahahaha

That was really very satisfying to watch. The way you explained the blend of 1 and 3 by using a 2 is the missing piece I needed. Can’t wait to give this one a try. I’m merely watching this to clip my own hair. Getting your haircut done in a shop is just too expensive these days.

If you get half sizes it's even better to blend..for example to blend a 1 to 2 use a 1.5. I recommend Oster classic 76's clippers with the metal blades. They are pricey but cut so much better and last a lifetime!!

I've watched a bunch of haircutting videos on YT and appreciate your videos being straight-forward! Super easy to follow along. I'll watch them again as a refresher and can say that I've successfully cut my bf's hair! On the 5th time now and it gets easier/better. For everyone who is trying for the first time, go in with CONFIDENCE! If you are unsure, then for sure the haircut will be s*****. If you're having a bad day/bad mood, don't cut your own/bf's/dad/brothers/friend's hair. Secondly, TAKE YOUR TIME. If you need to, just cut off a little bit and take a step back to see how it's looking before cutting more. As you practice further along, it gets more intuitive. Good luck!

Don’t do like you see on this movie. Do longest first with short taper lever, then 1 clipper number lower with long taper snd then with short setting. Go then to lower number and do exactly the same here. It’s much less risky to fuck anything and much easier to fix if you do.

I am using the exact same technique when cutting my hair with the only difference that I do it gradually instead of skipping to number 3, and then 2. I assume you probably do it this way for freeing up the bulk for easier fading or more control over the length, but either way I think the result is the same. Also I don't use 1.5 between the 1 and 2 in the end but with nice up and out motion there is no need for me. Or at least I don't see how bad it looks without it myself xD Otherwise great tutorials, the people who are saying your videos are one of the best explainable in KZread are right. I also watched your skin fade tutorial I think it's spot on. I'm hoping to enter academy course in the near future and try my luck in becoming a barber, since in resent years I really enjoyed cutting my own hair and a few friends and family. So I hope I'll have the opportunity to try and see how it goes. Kind regards and best of luck from Bulgaria!

Just a personal tip for beginners: start with fading lower than what's shown in this video. To do that make sure that the first line you make(0:00 - 1:10) is placed a few centimeter lower. I say this because beginners often try to fade too late.
