Like 3. That island is way larger than I imagined. When you showed the map I was surprised at the size. I like the swings around the edge of Captain Jack's. The shell your wife found was pretty. Joe and I enjoyed shell searching in Gulf Shores. It was a good excuse to walk on the beach. The buffet area was enormous. What's your opinion about Royal Caribbean vs Carnival prices, crowds, ship and drunk people? Joe said every video he ever sees of Virgin looks like a drunk fest advertisement so he has no interest in a Virgin cruise but we don't know about Royal Caribbean and Carnival.

Hi Red, thanks for the great comment and question. I looked into Virgin Voyages which is all inclusive and all adult. Not sure what to think after looking into the pricing. As for Carnival vs Royal Caribbean opinion….tough call. Carnival has been blasted by some people, in particular those who adore Princess Cruise or Celebrity for being the Walmart of the industry. This 3 day Royal Caribbean cruise was our first taste of their offering. The entertainment was ok, the food ….well after our opinion was expressed to a crew member polling guests we were continually pin pointed and asked how was our meal. We were honest with them. Our final dinner was in the main dining room, the head waiter approached our table with a tablet in hand apologizing for the shortcomings we experienced and explaining a few things. We were then treated to a fillet minion steak dinner to appease us. This gave me the impression that there must have been a slew of complaints about the dining and they were attempting to discover the issues and do what they can to make future passengers happy, I think that is a good idea. There are some things we definitely did not like about RCL in comparison to Carnival. I will admit that I did make a mistake booking this RCL cruise. I did not realize this was a holiday weekend in the states, Martin Luther king Day. So it was a busy ship filled with kids on a 3 day cruise beginning on Feb. 12th. There were some things about RCL we did not like. We have been on 16 Carnival cruises from 3 day trips to 8 day trips. Yes the 3 day cruises are more um let’s say “exciting” as for some of the guests it is party time from work and I think many of them buy the booze package as it is only a few days and they want to slam 7 days into 3 to get their moneys worth. But as adults you can avoid this crowd while still attending shows and performances. We find the Serenity deck on Carnival a great area to hang out as it is quiet, adults only but away from the fun. You can experience a wide range of options on these ships which in my opinion does have the best entertainment options at sea.we will be putting up a video about our try out of both Royal Caribbean and Princess cruise. Thanks for watching, cheers!😃

@@TripReviews good to know. I think if I was booking a cruise, I'd book either Carnival or Disney. We are not drinkers so that has been a concern. I don't like a drunk atmosphere at all. Disney is super expensive for sure but I know it will be the tuxedo of cruises. Joe is concerned a ship full of kids would suck. I think it would be like going to Disney parks where the kids are full blast or crashed sleeping. Either cruise line I think would be good. Thanks for your honesty. I think I would take a hard pass on Virgin Cruise. Every video I see about it looks like a drunk fest.

@@TripNWithRed ok personally, it’s only my personal opinion but I would never go on a Disney cruise. For a few reasons, one price, two kids, 3 I’m really not a fan of Disney’s new woke culture, 4 even though I’m not a gambler so to speak there are no casinos on board. Sometimes that 20 minutes or half an hour spent in a casino waiting for a show to begin can be a good way to pass a little time. Even if I lose my 10 bucks. Another reason is I can’t justify spending double to get to the same ports. But however you would probably enjoy a disney cruise as you really do love their parks.😁
