    Very good informative video, I made a list while you were talking about all the plants you are going to over-winter. I too am thinking about next spring and what to start this fall. I am in zone 5 *not sure if it's 'a' or 'b' but my climate is much more dry (think dry prairie!) I tried American Legion poppies and they came up great for me! As well as some bupleurum and some violas or Johnny jump ups. The year before I managed to get a white echinacea from seed that only just bloomed this summer. Every year is an experiment - good luck to you and keep the content coming! I have learned so much! Thanks!

    I grow both the Single and the Tetra Feverfew and the Tetra always outperforms the single. It is my favorite!!

    I'm in Australia, but if you can find Geum Tropical Tempest, it is even better than Totally Tangerine. I have never seen it again here for sale after l bought it. Not sure why. Flowers are larger & more saturated. You can also split them up heaps. I started with one & now have more than 10. Wish we had Cantaloup Echinacea! 😍🥰❤

    You cannot beat the cantaloupe echinacea! I have probably 5 or so plants and they are fabulous. My new favorite echinacea for this year is called Delicious Candy. It is a deep magenta which opens flat but as the cones develop they are also a deep magenta and wind up looking just like strawberries. It grows probably 20 inches in my garden. I love it.

    I’m such a fan of your videos and how well you explain everything as to how and why you do things. I’m a first year flower farm and interested in the plug concept of fall growing. Would you happen to know if I were to order the Campanula plugs for fall (without the use of a hoop house or low tunnels) that they will have enough time to get started before my first cold d ap? I’m in zone e 6B in the fingerlakes in NY. I just loved all yours in the video where you show us your beautiful campanula and thought I would give this plant a try. Thanks in advance… Dawn

    If you have a Farmer Bailey acct, you can contact them and they can help you with recommendations. You may have to frost cloth them.....but they should be able to help you! I am zone 5 and mine definitely need cover to be thru the winter.

    This year I purchased at a local nursery for the first time a Geum called Petticoats Peach. It grows 10-12" in zones 5-9. This one is on the shorter size which is perfect for my flower bed. It has spread but no buds no far, maybe next year. Love your flower arrangements.

    Thanks Christina! 2 questions. Does you co tinue to harvest from the same feverfew over the season? I get a bunch of cuts, but it doesnt fill out again very well. 2nd, would you start plant snaps or sweetpeas now for a fall harvest?

  • @SunshineFlora

    @SunshineFlora

    10 күн бұрын

    I have never grown sweet peas. You could try starting snaps now but I am not sure if you would get blooms yet this fall. Depends on when your frost is. I get feverfew all season, but my 2nd harvest is never as strong as the first. Hope that helps!
