Percy Shelley - Ozymandias
Ойын-сауық
I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said-“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”

And I'm down for it. Never thought that Poetry is kinda fun.
I remember reading this poem in English class when I was younger, it sounds so much more impactful with your voiceover!

Now I imagine Shinri's voice when I read poetry. It works.
Thanks, Shin! I love this sonnet Most readings I've heard put on a grandiose voice for Ozymandias' quote, but I found your approach interesting in that it cemented the ultimately somber tone
You left your name, and nothing else remains. But the thing is, you leave the impact, to the people who knew you. You don't need to be king of kings, To be able to do those impacts. Really nice sonnet reading, Shinri. The crisp, clear wording, and how you read each line, it is very impactful. These are very good one.

I was not expecting this poetic of a bedtime story.
Power is temporary, for even one's great might and rule will be lost within the sands of time.
I studied Literature and this poem in particular a while back. The memories that have been relived after hearing this! You're delivery is so soothing and mysterious, it's really great! Thank you so much for this one, its made me a tad bit nostalgic and giddy haha

I remember reading this in my english class, but to hear a voice read it aloud to me. A voice that it is exactly like how I think the person would be reading it to me, it brings me joy and it is soothing

I love these short poems and short stories getting read out loud. I know it's probably on your list, but I'd love to hear a few renditions of Shakespeare's soliloquies or sonnets like Sonnet 98 or one of Hamlet's many soliloquies.
This is one of my favourite poems, thanks for reading it Shinri, very cool! Also, *(breaking bad reference)*
