To catch perch lure fishing you must find them first. Search baits are a great method of covering alot of water fast to locate the fish. Once you have made contact with a school of perch, you can switch up to more finesse tactics.
Shads on standard jigheads make great search baits. In this video i will take you down to a new section on my local river, using search tactics to locate perch!

@@theoccasionalangler6956 Mind you, I don’t mind when they’re like the 16lber I had in the summer using a small spinnerbait on my weedy river while targeting some 3lb+ perch. That gave my 3-15g rod a work out

Hello, you mentioned you had a finesse trace when you got that pike. What is your trace made of that allows it to be strong and remain finesse?

Hi fin, I use a very fine surgical steel trace called flexonit. It is knotable, 4.5kg breaking strain and 0.2mm dia
