My buddy has one of these with a bow mount xi3. It’s a beast of a platform. Crazy how much they cost these days compared to when they came out.

I am completely new to kayak and bass fishing. What are some things you would recommend to look for, and avoid with your first kayak? I'm a shorter dude at 5'4. I live on a lake and im getting irked with my inflatable kayak. And i have no idea why some kayaks are only a couple hundred bucks vs thousands. I appreciate your review!

@shabby7127 Firstly, WELCOME TO THE ADDICTION! There are so many variables that dictate whether a kayak is right for you. Budget, bodies of water you intend to fish, propulsion of the kayak, etc. One of the main things to remember is longer kayaks are faster and easier to paddle, yet smaller kayaks turn more easily. I could write for hours on the topic, and understand when it all feels overwhelming. Price differences normally come from production quality differences, paddle vs pedal, accessories, etc. I really recommend checking out The Bearded Paddler and Headwaters Kayak channels.
