To Boil Cow Skin
1 kg Cow Skin(Kanda/Ponmo)
2 Maggi Cubes
1 tsp Salt
2-3 Cups of Water
To Fry the Cow Skin
1 large Bell pepper
3 Large tomatoes
1 Cup Cooking oil
1 large onion(Blend half and Slice half for garnishing)
2 Sprigs Parsley
2 Scotch Bonnets(I used dried Ground scotch bonnets powder)
2tbsp tomato paste
½ tsp Black Pepper
¼ tsp White Pepper
2 Maggi Cubes
1 tsp Salt
¼tsp Cloves Powder
1 tbsp Paprika
1 tbsp Ginger and Garlic Paste

When I 1st visited Africa both Cameroon and Nigeria I had this and it was good. The also do a good pe-pe cow foot soup also. This was like my every day dish , and ndole with goat chunk and dry shellfish.

Besides being a delicious finger food or stew addition, pomo a.k.a. cow skin is essentially a nutrient protein made up of collagen or gelatin and is good for our skin and bones. Some people I talked to think it is fat.

It's called Pomo not kpomo, it's a Yoruba language in Nigeria, when they pronounce it it sounds like there's a K but it doesn't have K in the word
