    I'm an Aussie and I remember learning about Captain Thunderbolt when I was a kid. I don't remember hearing about him turning up to his own funeral though. As bushrangers go, he was one that I admired. I knew he was a thief, but when you realized how polite and courteous, he was, it made him a lot more endearing.

    About that "narcolepsy" story from 1571. For centuries people were sometimes mistaken for dead. I think it was more likely they had fallen into a coma, especially before anyone knew to check for a pulse and, when in a coma, people breathe very lightly. Very often they did not wake up until they were already buried. Most made it out of their coffins/graves because, though we now bury people six feet deep, in the old days they weren't as precise.

    Hi Be Amazed! I am stoked you brought up Timothy Dexter!! I am also AMAZED you haven't done a video just about him yet! If you're curious, please look up a book written by Timothy Dexter called "Pickles for the Knowing Ones" he was completely illiterate and wrote this book sometime after his fortunes fell into place. After his editor told him"the book needs more punctuation" he responded by adding on a few pages of literally just punctuation. Seriously enjoy if you look into it!! Cheers!

    @Deで well if we look at the case of ramon sosa, the man who had to fake his death to avoid being killed by his wife, which is pretty much the same as this one, the woman got 20 years in prison, so how do you explain that?

  • @eglol

    @eglol

    Жыл бұрын

    Okay, well he may have been stupid and overreacted, but nine years is pretty long. I'd say it's due for the situation. Sometimes, people don't learn what the truly right thing is. I'd say it's because people never teach them the truth of how good life is when you do good things and such, successfully. I cannot believe that people are truly that oblivious when it comes to other humans emotions. What if you were truly sorry, but you were never forgiven? Not everybody is truly sorry, but it's worth it to forgive and give chances to people for those who truly do decide to do good. But you must help them as well. I've been watching the video more, so I've lost my original point, But let's see... He was acting ridiculous for being sus of his wife. There absolutely is more details to the story that we don't know about, otherwise I'd say that he should be given another chance. Nine years is a while. If, in the jail, he would be actually helped, things could very possibly work out! But, uh... Jail is way more worthless than it should be. It works sometimes, but unless you actually actively try to help people, they aren't likely to learn. Nah, I'm tired now, so this comment itself is pretty much worthless. (Maybe not?) I'll post it anyway because it's so long.

    A few years ago, a great friend and co-worker of mine passed away from cancer. A few months later, another friend and co-worker and I were out shopping at the local Walmart. Lol and behold, we turned down an aisle and there stood our buried friend. I was shocked at first, but then I remembered that she had an identical twin. My second friend didn't remember as fast as I did, but she sure could run fast. The last thing I saw was her shopping bag sticking straight out behind her as she hit the front doors and kept going. Back in the late 80s something similar happened in the Philippines a man that was though dead victim of foul play but the corps was unrecognisable and can only be identified buy his tattoo so when a family claimed the body they thought it'd actually their dead relative because of the tattoo yet days later the man shows up at his own funeral but hears the catch it was actually recorded by a TV crew who was reporting on the wake because of the circumstances of the man's death . So if you're going to make a part two you might want to look at this.

    I knew someone who was mistakenly declared deceased some years ago. She passed away from COVID last year, unfortunately, but this story will always stick with me. She had been declared dead. They took her to the morgue, gave her a toe tag, the works. She woke up when she felt cold, and realized she was in the drawer. She began knocking on it to get out. I would have paid cold hard CASH to have seen the looks on the morticians' faces. Just imagine: You've put what appears to be a corpse into the drawer until it's their turn for embalming, makeup, ect. Then, all of a sudden...*knock knock knock.* I can imagine them looking horrified at each other, the knocks growing more persistent. They probably played rock paper scissors to decide who goes and checks.🤣 Turns out it was likely Lazarus syndrome, where the body *appears* to be dead but actually the heart rate is so slow it's extremely difficult to detect, and machinery doesn't pick up on it at all.

When someone is morose, they seem to have a cloud of sadness hanging over them. This word is stronger than just sad - morose implies being extremely gloomy and depressed.

    Imagine blowing money on fake funerals while people struggle to bury their actual deceased loved ones. I also noticed the story of the 2 year old little boy in Brazil, Kelvin Santos, who was pronounced dead from pneumonia by hospital staff, who then unceremoniously handed over his "remains" to his family in a plastic shopping bag. The little boy "woke up" at his wake, just before the funeral was to begin, sat up, asked his father for water, and then laid back down and died for real.

    Talk about a close call! This case just goes to show that death is not always the final chapter. I can't imagine the shock and disbelief of those who thought they were paying their last respects to a loved one, only to have her show up alive and well. A truly strange and intriguing story that will be remembered for years to come.

    This happened to my grandfather. In the 1930s, Friendship Church in Upshaw, Alabama was struck by lightning and everyone on the porch was hit. His friend was killed instantly and was described as "pretty obviously not survivable" and my grandfather's head was badly deformed from a broken skull. It was assumed he was also dead and was included in the wake. It was at 3am the following day that he sat up in, looked to his mother, and asked, "Mom, where am I?" He ended up living another 80 years beyond that. He loved to joke, "I've only been to church twice in my life and they were both disasters. The first time I went, I was struck by lightning and lost my best friend. The second time I went, I got married!" He was married 70 years.

    Its been 4 months since this video's release and i am now getting around to it for good reason. I had lost my dad before this release and this subject made me ultra uncomfortable. I was already thinking about this subject and i hurt even more inside. Now, im living with the fact and it hasn't gotten easier, but at least i can put this video in my likes and move on...
