    Story 22 is why most of these on r/askreddit needs a serious tag/flair. That "story" was just the ending of Shrek 1. As soon as it started, I knew it was Shrek 1.

    Story 2 is so r/thathappened that everybody literally clapped at the end. Not to mention that chloroform only works like that in the movies. Two other stories was just long long man and shrek but at least those are something good and not somebody's wedding fanfiction where they try to seem cool

    I don’t think they chloroformed her, I think they literally just shoved a rag in her mouth to gag her!

    Such drama is no longer possible with Catholic Marriage Rite. All objections are to be submitted officially during the three weeks of announcement. By the time the marriage ceremony takes place, nothing but _force majeure_ can stop it.

    My grandma was seeing a man back in the 50s who was seeing another woman behind her back (the other woman didn’t know either, apparently he was also seeing a third one too). He ended up marrying the other woman quite abruptly (apparently her family pressured him after they found out they were seeing each other). My grandma wasn’t invited but heard about the wedding and just decided to show up on the day, waited for them to have started the ceremony and just entered the church with a box of all his letters and things and just dropped it in front of them and left. Not sure how the wedding ended though.

    Technically no, but kind of counts. I walked my sister down the aisle at her wedding. When the officiate got the the objections part, I, who was in the aisle seat, turned and sized up the crowd, basically waiting for it. No one tried anything, and all I got were some awkward stares. Luckily my sis and BIL were cool with it 😅

    Story 12 Epilogue Now we're not sure if the bride and the groom got a restraining order for that stalker. It would be wise if they did. He was heavy and smelled like aged Mountain Dew. Thankfully, they got on that plane to Bali on time for their honeymoon. The stalker did end up in the slammer after creeping up on a cosplayer in her early 20's last year. The couple has a daughter now though and they're going strong. - The Best Man

    I can honestly say that I was not expecting anything like this on one of these story videos. Also, if they haven't gotten a restraining order; they should at least be encouraged to do so,

    @@thechaoticvideogamer They moved from Manila to Sydney. The wedding took place here in the Philippines. Been friends with them since Sophomore year. They called me a month ahead for the heads up that they picked me as the best man. Not messaged. Called. And since we all had a mutual circle, so we all knew everyone who showed up to an extent. It was a fun reunion for everyone. That was until "The Mongrel" showed up. Literally none of us knew who the weird dude was. Turns out he went to the same college we did. It got awkward. So we had to get him out. We ended up escorting him out and as soon as we were out of everyone's view, that's when I hoisted the guy. He was heavy and smelly. And I was happy to see a police officer outside the church. He was shocked that I dropped a smelly and hairy guy next to him. When I told him "He's your problem now", all he could do was nod. We got back to the ceremony, and part of me still felt like gagging. Other than that, everything went smoothly. They don't have to worry about that stalker now since they moved to the land down under.

    Glad to hear the couple is still doing good, in fact they sound like they’re thriving. Good on you for getting that guy out of there, your friends definitely picked not just the right man for the job, but the Best Man!

    This kind of reminds me of the one where the grooms stepson objected to ask if they where still going to go fishing after the ceremony, that's probably one of my favorite stories of all time.

  • @jethal
    @jethal3 ай бұрын

    The reason we ask about objections was actually covered in one of the first stories. In small towns is hard to know who is too closely related. So you asked if anyone knows

    The funny thing is, that “speak now or forever hold your piece” thing isn’t always a part of the ceremony. It wasn’t part of what the priest said at my wedding for example and I’ve been to other weddings where it wasn’t said at all. Why tempt faith I guess

    When my bio sperm donor (not a father) proposed to his third wife, it was filmed it. On the video, after she said yes and a few people clapped (we were at my paternal grandmother's house), you can hear me say, quite loudly, "Can we have the cake now?!" I was a teen and far more interested in having my grandmother's cake than I was about the proposal.

    A vow of celibacy doesn't necessarily hinder a wedding. There's even a Saint who was married, but she stayed a virgin. All you need is an understanding partner.
