Same with Italian accents, in Rome people speak it with a gorgeous accent and rhythm that literally gives me chills, whereas in Tuscany where the language originated it sounds harsh and unappealing.

German spoken softly is very beautiful, even whispery, and somehow when sung all the harsh consonants become softer, there are many lovely classical pieces sung in German, I know because I have sung them in choir. Of course Italian is beautiful and so is church Latin to sing.

He may be living in the UK, but there is no doubt he is of Italian parents or decent.

I'm German 28 years old and still awake at 8:42am, the pain and trauma keeps me up, my heart is cold as ice but this makes me cry my eyes out. I enjoy listening to Caruso so so much. It brings me back to my childhood, I see my mom in a flower dress with Caruso playing very loud while the door to the backyard is open and our dog is walking around the living room. it was a summer night and everything was good even though it wasn't

Lucio Dalla's own version is also beautiful. In the official Lucio Dalla video of this song, the hotel room where he gets in, it's where Caruso stayed. Also, Lucio insisted that he wanted to stay at the same room where Caruso stayed at, and his inspiration for the song lyrics developed there.

Where are you people going that is so important, more important than simply standing and enjoying the moment and the stunning voice of this man. The singing is beautiful and I would pay money to see him sing..🥰

The fact that anyone could walk past you singing this and not stop is what is amazing.... Are they wearing noise cancelling headphones or lost their hearing from covid? I would walk to Italy from Indiana to hear you sing. Best ever? Probably.
