Those that seek help aren't taken seriously. I've seen people have to chase their MS nurse for months despite scans saying they need to be seen urgently.

That is so so true, and more so since early 2020

For almost 30 years now. MS is my secret. I do not tell anyone about it other than close family, some of whom did not believe me. I did lose everything at 35 as i was despondent and turned to drugs. I no longer drink alchol or do any drugs, i am hoping that will ally my symptoms from coming back. I have been fired for being suspected of intoxication a couple of times due to slurred speech or loss of balance. I still kept my silence. I am a survivor, so far, and I look forward to life as a gift. MS = my secret.

I can't tell anyone. I will lose my job. My employer will just replace me.

Been listening to Christina Applegate’s and Jaime Sigler’s podcast MesSy that talks about their experiences with MS.

A plant-based diet and not being severely overweight helps.

Obese might be factor to developing MS, its not genetic according to research or inherited. Being overweight doesn't help either and research has shown Excerise can help MS.

This may be true but studies have shown otherwise. MS can be inherited down to genetic coding due to suseptibility. And yes siblings can & do develop MS.

Of course a plant based diet can help. But this is not the issue in itself. Meat is the key to healthy building blocks that cannot be surpassed when it comes to many aspects, especially stores heme. All comments about diets is not M.S. If comments are about food then maybe some people should be in a diet based thread, NOT on Medical specific Disease imho♿

My son has MS. He has the progressive.

Exactly NONE of her "issues" prevents her from eating healthy and exercising. Two things she obviously chooses NOT to do.
