I admire John King for speaking up. We need people to talk about this, and to explain to people what being immune compromised means, not just the condition itself, but also how we live with it, what we do about it, and WHY other people being vaccinated is so important to us! This isn't self-pity. Talking about it can be a noble act if it helps others. We must educate people on why this matters and how meaningful it is when others participate in getting vaccinated. We need to help people understand how mandates can be good, how it's helping immune-deficient people get back to normal life. Thank you for uploading this video!

The more people that are aware of MS and it’s symptoms the better. Last year at 71 I was finally diagnosed with MS after 35 years of on again off again symptoms. I was not aware that MS since the 1980’s has since been broken down to 4 kinds. I have RRMS like John. My liaisons in brain and spine are dormant and being over 60 the only thing I can do to mitigate the symptoms is Physical Therapy. But finally being diagnosed I have a great sense of relief that I knew something wasn’t right but I couldn’t get anyone in the medical community to listen. My neurologist told me that he is seeing many more cases like mine and John’s who have gone for literally decades not being diagnosed.

So grateful he used the platform he has to explain how he and many in our country live their lives with invisible conditions and struggles. My daughter has an aggressive case of ms. Even had a stroke at only 20 yrs old. She unfortunately cannot receive the vaccine herself and our family has had to be very mindful of places we go and individuals we interact with since this pandemic began, so as to minimize the risk of bringing this pathogen in our home. My daughter chooses not to share her medical history and status with anyone that does not already know and to respect her wishes to keep this info private, we do not share it with others. It is very heartwarming when others around us or in our community make the effort to do uncomfortable and inconvenient things because they value their own lives and they also understand that there are those among us, like my daughter, who’s lives are worth protecting. They are mindful of the fact that many fight battles that others cannot see. Those efforts and that compassion are so appreciated.

There was just a study showing vaccinated household members can spread to family just as easily as unvaccinated. As someone with chronic health issues, I would never want people to put their health at risk for me. I don't know why people feel the need to shame others for their personal medical decisions- especially when the vaccinated can spread the virus.
