Those old tattoos are a prime example on why people should consider more timeless styles. You don’t want outdated tattoos on your body in 10-20 years.

I have one that shows my age badly, it does not bother me prob coz it’s not visible in day to day life. It’s a tribal tramp stamp with flowers, lmao.

I'd like to a picture of it healed without any added lighting or editing. the picture looks either fresh or it could be healed but he's put some lotion to shine it up. Skin doesn't shine like that. I think it looks cool in this picture, but it probably looks completely different irl.

I actually liked the "mess" before black-out look a lot. I kind of wish there had been one more layer to enhance the dark abstract pattens instead of almost full blackout with lines. The cross on his chest gives this like a dorky christian knight/ armor look

With how much work he's had done, blacking out was probably his only option. I can only imagine how long and expensive the laser removal would've been for most of his tattoos.

Love his 2000's tattoos too - does it look good persay, maybe not but with the absence of the angel and the ridiculous suspenders it looks cool. Crow blackout 3:03 is great and I like how he's sarting this

I love to see that even if you had full body covered you can blast it over with new designs. I've always thought when you go full black it's gonna be the final form but apparently you can top that even with some colors so your tattoos can evolve multiple times, even you had full bodysuits.

Do people not have concerns about skin cancer growing unseen below all this ink? I don't mean to be a buzzkill, but after multiple teenage/early 20s sunburns, I finally ended up w/ a melanoma spot that, thankfully, was NOT under one of my tattoos!

I kind of liked the red coloring in his tattoos. The white space in between the tattoos/the sexy pale skinned background made everything breathe. The black out tattoo doesn't leave any room for imagination and kills the story that his body tells. The black out tattoo makes him look like a cybernetically augmented human. To each his own, but I prefer a bunch of "bad tattoos" over a blackout tattoo.

As someone who loves black out stuff I really dig the work - not a fan of MGK though and I don't like people calling it super orginal and ground breaking when it's been done for years

I see where ur coming from but I'm not feeling it personally. I liked his 2020 - 2023 look the best, with the raven, geometric stuff on his arms and shoulders and before he got the big biomech thing across the est 1999. That fucked it imo which is what probably led him to get the blackout in the first place. Yea some of his old stuff was outdated but it was all history, he lost a bit of his charm covering all that i think.

I think the out of date or trendy stuff is lame the new black out look will get old and out of date lasting that will suck

Tattoos shouldn't be something you can argue about. I know I'll be alone with this take but this is the way I see them : it's a part of your body and something that can have an important symbology to you. It's like you've been fat and you lost like 20 kg and people said "yo, you were better looking before". This is the same shit to me. Again, this is a hot take, I'm aware people tend to view tattoos differently than me.
