I identified with the ‘noble brokie’ for years. As a child, I watched my dad stress & obsess over money. I hate to say this, but it’s because he never had any. As a rebellious kid, my reaction was to HATE money because I saw how miserable it made him. It took me so long to realize this, but I don’t hate money. I hate STRESSING over money. And, the only reason to stress over money is if you don’t have any. Thanks Dan, you rock dude 🪨 🤘🏼

Dude, the idea that there are multiple "why's" behind what you do is so powerful for people to understand. I was just discussing this with my wife as she wrestles with whether or not get on social media to share her experiences. She said she struggles with feeling vain. I shared with her that it is important for her to understand that even if there is some level of vanity in her motives , that does not negate the other many good motives she has for sharing her experiences. Nothing we do has perfect motives and this is important to come to grips with.

In the past I was literally saying the words "I don't want a lot of money", "I don't want to be rich", because growing up in a corrupt country ran by monsters for more than a decade, my child brain associated crime with wealth. Like bad, ugly crime. So it took a lot of years and actual intentional rewiring of my core beliefs about money to see them just as a tool for a mean. And that only the means can be "good" or "bad", or neither.

I think the problem isn't that some people make money by teaching others how to make money, it's when a scammer takes advantage of loop holes and peoples desperation to trick them into believing they have answers that they don't. I've gotten scammed before and it's not nice and people like the person who scammed me ruine it for everyone else. Maybe make a video addressing this and how our times are actually quite ripe for scammers to take advantage and how we should create solutions to not allow them to do so.

I used to be very lazy but this year I started to take some initiative in my life and I started doing dropshipping. Now, after seven months I can say that it was the best decision of my life. What helped me the most was founding good products to sell (I am using a little bit of winnerzila as source of my products, and their lifetime deal is amazing imo, especially for beginners). That’s because in the old days, to get ahead in resources, many people did bad things to get it. If you look at old wealthy families, they were nearly all involved in controversial/immoral acts/industries early on.. So it used to be quite valid to perceive it that way. However modern times have opened resources to where you don’t need to be unethical to get ahead anymore.

Great wake up call, and straight to the point. I think the reason of lots people having a bad perception of money is because of the fall of the Bretton Woods system in 1971. Since school is not teaching you how to deal with finance and investment, it ends up with most people trying to save paper money only then be punished by financial crisis over and over again. Reading ''Rich dad poor dad'' really does rebuild my connection towards money since my academical family has exactly the same attitude as the poor dad.

The end goal isn't money. The end goal is using talent, honing skill, gaining expertise and using personal imagination to become a creator and problem solver, adding value to society, fulfilling a need, offering your creative abilities in a tangible, profitable, useful and enduring way that enables you the individual to improve, enhance, refine, sustain the best part of what it means to have purpose, aim and drive toward an eternal path. Money is just a fungible instrument of agreed upon value to transfer goods and services between creators. It's a tool to facilitate transaction. The real value exists in what was created. Barter of goods came before currency.

I keep telling people that enacting socialism to punish the wealthy won't fix society. They're not wealthy by luck, they're wealthy because success is more important to them than money, so they're willing to take the risks that lead to excess wealth. If money was the goal, Elon Musk would've given up work a long time ago.

True money has always been spiritual energy, and there are proper ways to exchange spiritual energy. The paper stuff in circulation is exploitation of the highest order, and is a massive reason why many emulate this and exploit one another. After reading a couple hundred books on this subject, there is one saying I like above all others when thinking about this, "nature can support your needs, but not your greed". When advertising crosses this line, we are steeling from one another. Side note-15:13 it's Gurda, with the "D" being closer to saying the word "The"

Great insights Dan. The only push back I have is that the social platforms where money can be made (and what we all leverage our services and usp’s on) are not just propped up by the knowledge of the creator economy educators and creators but by the very business that the haters you refer are working 40 hours + a week in for 45 + years. Realising the big amounts of advertising revenue that creates CPM for creators like us and props up the creator economy is important in the grand scheme. We can’t level up without some form of wage slavery going on somewhere (if not everywhere.) Otherwise there would be no real potential to make money through courses on how to make money online - because online is filled with Fortune 500 ad spend and therefore people want to learn about how to harness that attention. It’s actually one big consciousness loop as big advertisers need creators in order to advertise through (or during) that creator’s content. The most creative (art) and those that help others level up to find their piece of pie will win the day!

I'm a Mediterranean girl, never been in the USA, appreciate and enjoy a lot of things from your culture, follow many American influencers etc. One thing that I don't understand in the American nerattive, is this burning desire to be rich. Let's say one needs 10k a month to live his dream life, not work too hard, maintain the perfect life-work balance and save enough for everything he wants. 10k, 100k, 5k, whatever. this is just an hypothetic thought. Why should this person plan for the outcome of having extra extra extra extra? don't get me wrong. I'm somebody who believes that there is no Spiritual freedom without financial freedom, or at least financial convince. But you don't need to have SO MUCH money to experience freedom and/or fulfilment. To me, money is a "means" not an "end". Don't understand this mindset.

Hmm, that first point was a haymaker. I'm a successful IT guy, and work for a company which I'm happy with for now. I don't think I consider myself "spiritual". It's just that I despise the idea of high pressure sales tactics, and when you get into your own business, if you don't pressure people, you only do mediocre, or at best, average. As your business starts to scale up, the forces that eat away at your profits start rising as well. You need office space. You need employees, suppliers, contractors, all that are cost factors. The government wants larger portions of your earnings. You then, get locked into a position where you *must* start to pressure people for your services, so money can come in to pay for the expenses, and be able to pay yourself and anyone working for you. This seems to be the direction most businesses take.

The #1 biggest issue I have with "sales" are the manipulation tactics. I absolutely DESPISE manipulation. If someone wants/needs or can justify the purchase, manipulation tactics are not required. There have soooo many times in my life, when I was already sold on a product or service... but the manipulative sales tactics were enough for me to pull out and do without completely. I'm not alone in this. Anyone who's ever been on the losing end of malicious manipulation tactics, either has total disdain for them, or becomes another malicious manipulator. If you notice, I didn't say "victim". I said "on the losing end". I don't believe in victim mentality. "Victims" are just people who fail to take responsibility for their own security. As such... I find it difficult to submit to these tactics, regardless of the product/service, or my need for it. It's my way of taking responsibility for my own security. Your presentation couldn't be more wrong about "raising the collective consciousness".

I'm a few minutes into your video and I agree with everything in it so far. The thing for me was that a few years back I really changed my life. From smoking three packs of cigarettes a day, week, coke, at least a bottle of vodka a day, hookers and what have you, I fucking quit everything, closed the bar, never looked back. The thing is: I'm a musician too. So I tried going back to bars to play and just couldn't, I don't really enjoy it anymore. I love singing and playing guitar and bass and the songs that I like to sing and play are songs that have this "higher" reality to them and the fact that most people can't see or feel what I feel while I sing and play them songs really makes me depressed. I still have the "dream" of playing music but I really hate my audience as per now, so I haven't played or made any new songs in quite the number of years, I have my bass sitting next to me right now and the audio interface connected but I just can't bring myself to make anything new. I'd rather record me reading scriptures than making new music xD Oh well...

The one and only question is, are you willing to put in the effort.

This is so great and so true. I am having issues living paycheck to paycheck, working for others. I find it hard finding someone to acknowledge my business ideas and helping me elevate those ideas into something that can be created. I often think and feel everyone else is busy with their own world and when I share my ideas it's almost utopic and not business savvy for those who I share my ideas with...and nobody brainstorms or supports me in advancing my ambitions. How will I raise funds to build, if I cannot find a tribe/ like minded who dont see me as competitor but rather as someone to inspire, to build and continue dreaming onwards. How do I find or meet investors that validate the business ideas and connections I think are beneficial for society. I end up living day to day, continue dreaming, working for others. And go back to criticizing myself with thoughts like I am not social enough, I go against the norm or grain, my ideas are childish or silly etc

You might consider reading / listening to on Audiobook "The Science of Getting Rich," by Wallace Wattles, it was written over a hundred years ago but I find the concepts extremely powerful (i've read it dozens of times and still feel transported by the words and the message) they have helped me in my business building, particularly in starting businesses with little or no capital. I hope you follow your passion and start with what you can do today to create your business. it is a different kind of stress than working for the man, but it can be very rewarding, especially if one keeps it as simple as possible. :)

C.S. Leweis' observation that "The opposite of love is not hate but indifference." might apply here: Hate and Love are actually two sides of the same "coin" of entanglement. If so, than hating money is actually a version of loving money. Indifference is our way out. If we think of money as a tool - a battery for storing the energy/value of previously done work so I can then use the output when and how I want , then I don't really have any attachment to a particular battery. All I care about is how effective that battery (currency) is for holding the value of my work without degradation and ease of liberating that energy when I choose. I'm pretty indifferent about the brand of battery that I use. What I care about is does that battery do its job? That is Indifference. No love or hate. Maybe, on reflection, appreciation for the technology but no entanglement with a means/tool leaving me free to use that tool to further my goals. I can place my creative love into the projects and relationships that I choose ( not waste entanglement/love/hate on a neutral tool) ~ I appreciate this discussion. Thank you :)

It’s not really ‘creating’. It’s talking. It’s people with no discernible talents or true contributions….regurgitating and repackaging information that is not new. They target young people because it seems new to them, but is really just an illusion, because without the true fundamentals, tools, and assets attached…wealth will not be the outcome.

One day invested to a business invested all my saving on a business with my relative and got cheated. and he is the person who would read books exclusively about quick money and stuff and it made me hate the business world and think people who care about money are evil and I just move back to my cave, work and save money for the evil world. This video is definitely going to change my life it makes me wanna go back to the business world again and believe in the humanity exists, I mean ,no one is perfect but if I don't contribute anything , I'm just letting the world contributed by the people I hate.
