The first blind would have been better if you would have used a different fabric. Need something thicker. The gray/blue is too shiny and emphasizes errors. A nice thick duck cotton fabric -maybe with stripes would make a huge difference.

Inexpensive slat blinds often don't last long! What a great idea to recycle a shade that has lost some of the slats!! Very ingenious!! But I have to say considering the availability of sheer fabrics, burlap would never be my first choice! And I wonder how long hot glue holds in summer? Just saying!

  • @SputnikDeb

I’ve thought of using shower curtains for actual curtains. I’ve seen some really cool ones. What I really would like to know is how can I double up a couple of curtains? Mine are too sheer and if I could put another material, like a sheet for more coverage ( thicker). Would that work or would I be better off to just buy more? Ugh! The picture of the ones I bought didn’t say sheer and I thought it was dark enough to cover. Boooo!

For some, the greasiness of McDonald's hash browns is part of their charm. It adds a certain indulgence and decadence to the breakfast experience. It's like treating yourself to a guilty pleasure once in a while. However, for others who prefer a cleaner and less greasy meal, it might be necessary to explore alternative options or modify their order to suit their preferences.

Got a pet, a little nephew, a baby that starts to learn to walk at age 9 months.( mine was walking at 8 months) , and ops all gone. Seen someone use table cloth and did the so called blind a bit different, Think hers will last longer But either way a lot of work. Table clothe I might consider. but by the time I do Blinds will be selling. NEW IMPROVED, or bottom down and just 1/2 down at the top.

GAH! Short-term solutions, looking unprofessional. Hot glue/sticky tape instead of sewing or mounting properly 😵 = only in emergency, for a short period of time. Inexpensive solutions are ok, but not cheap looking ones. The only thing I do agree with is the bathroom curtain. Kinda. The first one is really cringeworthy, would love to see how you pull it up, and when it starts disintegrating.
