Someone sent this to me to watch as a woman in mining…I don’t watch this channel for a reason and well, Pen was his usual self where he had to talk more than the guest. There is so much to discuss about mining in South Africa. What career options are there for young people, what are the current opportunities, what commodities are struggling and which ones are doing well, how is the mining charter helping HDSAs in the space. What is the difference between a mining right and a mining permit? This could have taught a lot of people about how big and diverse and complex our industry is. There was so much to ask this gentleman for educational purposes…but Pen likes the sound of his own voice too much

Shaft sinking innovation is not as easy to accomplish because unlike the USA, in South Africa, there are a lot of health and safety issues that mines need to comply with and thus many of the technologies used in underground mining are replicated.

Many thanks for another informative sit down. Your deliberate “... for dummies” approach helps with understanding industries laymen aren’t generally familiar with. Also you likening what’s in certain industries to similar concepts in other industries that don’t go by similar terms helps break info/concepts down. Comprehension is a huge piece of the communication puzzle & you do it well ket. Settlers who came to colonise collaborated in order own & control so that’s what we have to practice and prioritise (learn) as natives as well because there’s more than enough for us all. Danko ket 👊🏾 Msibi Boyz Worldwide

Bro Penuel, we appreciate your work but can you please stop interrupting guests as the speak, learn how DJ Sbu treats his guest, allow them all the time to elaborate on their responses. Your excitement on some topics gets to much due to you wanting to showcase your knowledge but dude I believe you did not bring these guests here to overshine them..LEARN TO LISTEN MORE AND GIVE THE GUESTS ALL THE TIME TO RESPOND. Appreciate your work bigtime🙌
@nhlanhlankutha.2160 Жыл бұрын
Amazing and insightful podcast but can the guest please be given an opportunity to speak, I honestly think the host had more time to speak than the guest. Throughout the 2 hours I can honestly say I got to understand the Hosts point of view and thinking more than I did with the guest which is honestly just a shame because I feel Siya has a lot of insights to offer. There’s something so powerful with allowing a guest to go down rabbit holes and speak without any interruptions because the longer they speak, the deeper they have to dig, and by allowing them to freely speak you’re automatically forcing them to think critically and we as guests get provided gems of insights but in this case, the guest honestly wasn’t given an opportunity to dig deep and critically think. Whenever he was embarking on a point that required him to critically think, the host just interrupted him and wanted to share his own views. Joe Rogan is a perfect example of this, at times he allows guests to speak for 20-30 minutes without even asking a single question, and as listeners we get blessed with deep insights.

But today I feel like you interrupted Siya a lot especially when he was explaining about Mining, you come in and take over with examples from previous speakers and Siya end up not making his point or finishing what he was explaining especially when he was talking about the “constraints of things in mining”
Thanks to you Big Brothers we appreciate this 💯🙌✨
Damn this episode is special! god Penuel! 🤲🏾
You must also invite an environmentalist to tell you about the purpose of the "ESG" and environmental regulation.
I would literally watch brother Siyabulela the whole day, he is so knowledgeable.

As a Former Penuel hater , I must say i enjoy the interviews you do , the knowledge shared on this platform is exceptional. Thank you.
1:32:25 thanks for correcting that Mr P
I really enjoyed this Pen. He seems very clever and competent. People like him should be in charge of mining legislation not people like oupa Gwede. Baie dankie!
This is highly informative conversation, thank you Pen and Siya.
Yingqawa lee,bro is in tune with the streets and office.
You’re so right about the poaching of employees in the Northern Cale !!
Thank you Penuel and Siya that was very educational😢
Very educational ❤
Very good penuel just find a way of coming in because your insight is also adding more value ,so have a way of balancing your coming in and at some point allowing guest some time
penuel brings intresting guest bt its hard to finish his interviews cos he keeps interrupting them as they speak.Sum1 tell him its abt tje guest not him!
Learn to let the guest talk Pen. Thanks for another Gem
Great interview Pen... But go easy on your interruptions. We know you get quite passionate but ease it down a bit so we can get the full points from the guest.. Thanks ❤
Big up Siya ❤❤ Proud of you ilali imengenyawo 🙏👌👌

Shaft sinking innovation is not as easy to accomplish because unlike the USA, in South Africa, there are a lot of health and safety issues that mines need to comply with and thus many of the technologies used in underground mining are replicated.
As youth we suffer from lack of knowledge when it comes to career's but am fully glad to such people share their journey and experience towards what we are willing to accomplish thank you my home guy.
Pen, siyabonga for the interview, quality of guest, the production level and the work you've been doing securing a diverse range of guests that we would've never seen/heard. Brilliant brother and truly (sincerely) inspiring keep it up. Please decrease your interruptions, brother, please man. We follow your personal YT account to hear your thoughts. fleshed out, we follow the show to hear the guest. Awukahle mfethu ey, keep notes or prep or whatever, don't take us up and down your detours.
Will be looking forward to that interview with the agronomist. As a person who’s in the farming sector and a Agri KZreadr .
Slim ‐ My Man.....🤛🤛🤛
Damn Pen, this needed to continu then you would have uploaded it in two parts. Yol took so long to mention South32 and I know they big in the NC
“There’s a lot of incentives for a degeneration of our population.” Eish Pen, that hurts so deeply I want to cry. I thought I was the only one thinking that way 😢
Lungelo check the back end of this page you will see that this shows appeals to a certain demographic and LSM, no need to slow your guests down let them unpack even if it's technical. Your people will follow do not worry about them.
Thank you Pen for bringing Siya back danko sani
The way he laughed at "1.3 ton" lmao
Penuel your show is very interesting. You are obviously very knowledgeable but you should let’s the guest get their point across. You interrupt a lot and sometimes disrupt the flow of ideas the guest is trying to get across

Mining is quite a fascinating industry, I am in the logistics vertical market however just found my way into commodity trading. From drilling to moving the product, It's just wonderful. Looking to get my own site someday, only if I get a deep pocket investor who's gonna purchase a small scale mine and a fleet of trucks to get things moving! God!
Thank you. Can you interview Gcaba Brothers
Pen pen pen a fantastic fishing reel brand ,robust ,long lasting takes the punch ,always can be relied on performs on demand ,for many many yrs to come lets all hope open minds opportunity is everywhere drivers are what holds progress back drive them pen drive them put minds into gear.
I hope pen give the guests a chance 2 speak.. respectfully...
Thank you so much Penuel I am young, and I enjoy and comprehend on every episode. can you please invite someone who's fully in the construction sector? As a construction student, I also want to hear from professionals.
Yesses pen give a guest a chance to speak and finish his point. Your excitement kills the flow of speech on the guest.
I learned a lot from today's episode. Penuel asks questions to really understand and that made me easily understand everything
Great interview, very informative.. thank you bafowethu ❤️♥️❤️♥️❤️❤️

Great conversation Penuel and Siya… Especially on us as a country lagging behind in terms of embracing innovation, technology and change. I also liked the subject of high speed trains system. How if we invest in high speed trains systems, lives and economy will be better…👌🏿

very insightful conversation 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
AS MUCH AS I APPRECIATE THE INTERVIEW, I THINK THE SUCCESS OF MINES AND ITS GOOD STORIES CAN BE NARRATED BY THE EMPLOYEES AND THE UNIONS. AS MUCH AS WE CELEBRATE THE WORK THAT IS DONE BY THE MINING INDUSTRIES , WE SHOULD ALSO TAKE IN TO COGNISENSE THE STRUGGLES AND THE LOSSES TO BLACK WORKERS IN THOSE MINES. THE EXPLOITATION
Good show 👏
