Penti II: Splashes of Color from Behind the Iron Curtain - Camera Talk
Ойын-сауық
Its name might lead you to believe that it's a Pentacon camera, but it isn't. This half-frame camera uses 35mm film, although it won't accept a standard 35mm film cassette.

As you can see in the video, this is tiny and very pocketable, as were many half-frame cameras. The one hinderance is finding two Agfa Rapid cassettes. These are available on the used market, and it will still require you to preload each cassette with a certain length of film. I don't mention it in the video, but I often round the corners of the film on each end when I load Agfa Rapid cassettes. It makes loading much easier.
Many thanks for this video. Have often heard of Agfa Rapid cassettes but never seen how they work. The Welta Penti II looks a lovely little camera.
If the plunger cocks the shutter, how do you store it? It would seem to be hard on the shutter spring and liable to go off in a pocket with an accidental press of the shutter release.

You would store it with the shutter tensioned. The release has enough resistance that I don't see it being released accidentally while in a bag or a pocket. It's always possible, but I would say that it's unlikely.
