If people still compare Matt to Avi with a comment like ‘Matt’s great, but…’ after this Christmas season, then they haven’t been paying attention. I saw them in concert this year and Matt’s bass was booming and resonant. He also played a full drum kit during his now standard duet with Kevin on cello, camped it up with a refreshed arrangement and performance of You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch, and led the song and conga-line style walk of the band through the audience. It’s way past time for that nonsense to stop.

I agree! Matt is an awesome integral member of this group and it is way past time to stop comparing him to Avi. I love Avi but he CHOSE to leave the band and people need to accept that fact and move on.

Absolutely! His stage presence in concert is only second to Scott’s. His joy at being on stage and a part of this group is palpable. It was meant to be.

Kevin deserves recognition in this song too. His vocal percussion carries us along on this epic journey along with the stunning vocals of the rest of the group. This came together so beautifully. It is now my favorite version of my favorite Christmas song.

This was worship, there’s no doubt about it. They were heralding the message of the arrival of the Messiah. That feeling in your heart, says it all.
The 'Metamorphosis' of Matt Sully is now officially over in case you haven't figured that out yet. If you didn't know it before, you know it now. He's out of the cocoon and raising PLENTY of hell. Watch out folks, Pentatonix is about to take it to a whole other level. Church boy is about to let 'er RIP, for real real. GIVE IT TO US MATT!!!

This is indeed a masterpiece. They have a catalog that is huge of Christmas, Covers, and original songs. You might like Imagine, Amazing Grace, The Prayer or Say Something.
Such an amazing arrangement where each and everyone shines brightly! Such a spiritual experience!
It took each one to make this version what it is. Bravo.
So great to see Matt coming out of his shell! I feel I’ve just seen a true Mattamorphosis!

Mitch stood out to me the most but that just me i think Scott and Matt carry the song that it and kirstin carry that last note but everyone did good
