This is not just a song... The music video revolves around a word of mouth Bolivian legend, from the 19th century, which concerns a deaf boy who fled from his abusive home and found a stray dog that accompanied him since then. After living on the streets for long time he discovers that he has a special talent of perceiving people's troubles, which he can heal by screaming. His screaming is said to be as loud as an earthquake and a tornado. One day, the boy finds an old man who is being stoned by villagers while being taunted and ridiculed. By screaming, the boy resolves the situation and revives the old man's heart (in the video, the boy buys a new heart for the man). Together, they meet a disfigured man who was abused, considered a leper by society. The disfigured man reveals that he is a prophet who was cursed by a demon (El Tio) because he didn't worship him, and abandoned the society where the demon resided. El Tio is considered as the lord of the underworld, to whom mortal people offer gifts to him in order to be protected by him or to ease his anger. The prophet said anybody who could hear the demon would fall under his control. He told them the demon could be found in desert, where there once was a town in which people worshipped the demon and he cursed them to kill themselves. Together they go to the place where the demon should reside. They arrive at a mine where the demon is supposed to be, but anybody who enters and could be cursed after hearing the demon speak. And so the boy alone could go into the mine to meet the demon and over voice him with his scream to stop him from cursing others. He stays in the cave for the rest of eternity screaming at the demon to prevent him from cursing other people ever again. I'm a big fan, by the way..

One side of the song is singing about "latching on" and "got you shackled in my embrace" to the other person and feeling love so strong it's a physical sensation while the other half of the song is saying they don't want to hear it anymore and that "enough is enough". It's perfectly reasonable to interpret this mashup as the ending of a toxic relationship.

Any Scott fans out there?? I think Scott deserves way more recognition. So many comments about individual PTX members, but I don't see Scott enough. Maybe because he's sorta the main singer & it's cool to fan on anyone besides the main... Imo, Scott is incredible! He absolutely kills his parts every single time and never disappoints. I can't believe how good he sounds live. I feel all members of PTX are super strong and Scott is the super glue that brings them all together.

This video has been out for 5years, I've heard it countless times, and ive only just now realized this is a mashup cover.....thats how good Pentatonix is at arrangements, they made 3 songs flow seemlessly into one to the point where you can barely tell they are separate songs

Scott Hoying: the tall, blonde, and talented baritone lead singer, co-host of the KZread channel "Superfruit," and is also an expert in the study of "Beyonce-ology" and has a hobby for "summoning spirits." He has a habit of burping when he talks and messing up lyrics on live radio sessions, but makes up for it with his hilarious sense of humor. Mitch Grassi: the sassy and sarcastic Queen of the group, the other co-host of "Superfruit," and the other talented lead singer with even more impressive high vocals for a guy. Despite his actions, he apparently "hates Spongebob, hates ice cream, and has never seen Frozen…" although we all know those were all lies. He is also a Sphynx Cat enthusiast and Scott's not-so-secret love. Kirstie Maldonado: qualified to perform on Broadway, she is "the girl of the group," and the lovely and beautiful singer with a sweet voice. She likes to cook and bake, is a poet and a writer, a Frozen fan, and a Husky enthusiast. Avi Kaplan: an overgrown dwarf from Middle-Earth and a retired dwarf choir director who has ridden horses for competitions in the past, he now brings his bass vocals that can make some guys question their sexuality. He's a fan of barbecues, beards, castles, and is secretly an expert in dragon riding. Kevin Olusola: the multitalented vocal percussionist, (or beatboxer, if you will,) of the group. A Yale graduate, Kevin has become a professional cellist and beatboxer, and he created "celloboxing" to combine his two talents, along side his two cellos: Beyonce and Jay-Z. Kevin is qualified to be a doctor, fluent in Chinese, a beginner rapper, and has become the heart-throb of the band
