Yes he certainly is! His solo youtube music is STELLAR! He's SO talented and we don't get to see all of him in PTX, but that's what happens when there's a group... I do like it when they each branch out and have their own solo music so we can see the scope of their talents.

I can’t comprehend the complexity of the beatboxing in this. 🤯 It’s INSANELY complex/intricate. It’s Kevin’s best work, and that is really saying something.

I know right... nevermind if your have slightly larger than standard subwoofer! even better!... was a fan back when Avi was still with the group and when hubby and I were still dating I wanted to let him listen to a song were Avi went sub-human, and he was like: 'hang on, wait a sec'... and searched for the song on our tv-surround system (not really a tv but a computer we use as tv)... was blown away... (Tim Foust from Home Free & Geoff Castelluci from Voice Play are equally incredible as Avi & Matt!)

This song f*cking slaps!! Everyone is on point! I gotta give mad props to Matt and Kevin, though. Those bass riffs and percussion play off each other so well! They both really ground the song and give it the depth to make it go from good to god damn.

@@davidvlhmar3493 Very much like real drums. When “Little Drummer Boy” came out many people thought it was impossible for those sounds to be made by him. The guys you mentioned *might* be slightly better than Kevin at mimicking real drum sounds, but neither of them are even close to him in terms of Feel or ability to groove which is much more important. I don’t think either of them have ever done a decent Funk or Latin groove and those are much harder types of rhythms to excel at. Kevin is amazing at Funk & Latin grooves on top of everything else. Not to mention that neither Layne or Adam have the chops to pull off this particular drum beat at this tempo. These Hi-hats alone are absolute insanity.

I cant get over the amazement I feel when Mitch sings with his high voice. The effortlessness with which he sings astounds me. He barely opens his mouth and that purity comes out. He looks no more that if he is just breathing. As to the rest, no one can challenge them for talent or popularity. SING ON, PTX! SING ON!

not to burst your bubble but it sounds like 2 different parts put together, the "bed" is slightly cut off, but he is still an amazing vocalist!

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a voice so piercingly beautiful as Mitch’s.

This is unreal. This is probably the most non-a-capella sounding song of them so far. Kevin is killing it with his Beatboxing!

It's not entirely a cappella. There's at least a string instrument playing in the background in some parts. And I suspect in the last part of the song there's some kind of keyboard accompaniment, although that could just be them being awesome? Either way, it's still a great song and they're very talented.

Technically it’s all voices according to them and the people they work with, but they are using tons of effects on their voices. It’s pushing a cappella to the extreme and if anyone’s going to do it, it’s going to be PTX. Anyway, it’s just fantastic pop music at this point, no matter how they make it

@@elamothe81 yes fr!!! That’s what got me into them in the first place. My teacher used to show us videos of older acappella groups or choirs and I always thought of it as a simple style of music. But the way PTX uses acappella is something I’d never seen before. So the day my music teacher put bohemian rhapsody by PTX I was blown away. I couldn’t believe voices could do that. And to this day I still can’t fully comprehend it (even tho I’ve been a fan for 2 yrs now 😅). They are truly extraordinary. And don’t forget about Mitch’s voice too!! I’d never heard anything like it!!!

Matt's TONE!!! In the first verse I literally thought it was Kevin's cello until I heard the delay/reverb (super clever idea, by the way). This is everything I wanted the PTX Pop album to be. I'm thrilled with this album

One of the best songs on the album. One of the best Pentatonix originals period.

I love Mitch and I'm so happy that there letting him get the spotlight in this album.

Finally! He really deserves it. He has some amazing solos and leads on this album ❤ his voice is magic and his lyrics are beautiful.

this whole album makes me so happy, and very emotional, actually I loved this one! I was trying really look into every version of the room and Kevin's is EVERYTHING (also Mitch looks so peaceful, and happy, it's so good to see it)

OMG! This song is AMAZING! It's wonderful seeing Mitch and Scott singing leads with each other. It's something about their voices, that compliment each other so well. Then, there's the part where Mitch starts singing in his lower register. WOW! With the closeups and his voice, it was very 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. PTX, the entire group, has absolutely done a FANTASTIC job on this album! There isn't a song that I don't like!!! The entire album is extraordinary! 😁❤🧡💛💚💙💜💙💚💛🧡❤😁

Mitch sounds magnificent throughout, Kevin's beatboxing is amazing, Matt's bass is superb, and Kirstie and Scott sound great too. The more times I listen, the better I like it.

I really felt Matt’s bass in this song. Y’all are amazing 🤩
