You must definitely be the best bass instructor I have ever seen! Not everyone who is a talented performer has also the ability to teach properly. You my friend possess both! Thank you for so many great videos and information!!!

You're the absolute best bass teacher online Mark
"Letting the snare breath." It's those little gems that I wouldn't have considered. Thanks!

You're a great teacher, dude. Thanks a lot for being so genourous with your time and knowledge.
What do we do to deserve you, Mark? Goddamn is everything on this channel so amazing for learning, and it's not all intentionally confusing in the way that Scott's Bass stuff is. Just great quality lessons for free, we wholeheartedly appreciate you my dude!

Hey Joseph, I love Scott and his site, just a different approach. Scott is a great player and his depth of understanding equals anything I am hearing here (no shade on Mark)...let's just appreciate everyone who is trying to make us sound awesome!
Man these have been suuuuch amazing practice tools for me to increase speed, accuracy, and strength. After about 3 weeks I’ve started to get my finger and plectrum picking both up from about 80-85 BPM max to a comfortable 110BPM on the final exercise. Thanks so much for this free information!!
Daaaaaaaaaum this sounds soooooo good. 10pm, a perfect time to practice 🎸
Hi Mark, I want to thank you for all your help in teaching me to play bass. Your instructions are not only informative, fun to practice, but also easy to understand. I look forward to your next lessons.
You are an excellent teacher and an amazing player, the two don’t exclusively got together. Thank you so much 👍🏿👍🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Wow, this video was uploaded 6 years ago and it's still popular. My guess is it will still be popular 60 years from now, because it's one of the best bass lessons ever.
Mark, is the best bass teacher on the internet.

Mark I’m a beginning bass player your videos are very helpful and I enjoyed this run video
Excellent jam . Reminds me of a "Geezer Butler" riff from earlier "Black Sabbath" days . There is so much you can do with it . Thank you for taking the time .

Iron man? A minor riff of the bass line is literally a minor pentatonic with two added notes (one blue)
Best bass instructor on net period.
I have watched a lot of lessons on bass runs and fills and you are the best there is out there. Nicely done all around.
Great job explaining the run Thank you
Thanks Mark. A true gent. Selfless, generous, enthusiastic and to top it all off a great do it it in chunks teacher. You don't do a whole lot of waffle either, straight to the point. Your an inspiration.
This video is golden! Great teaching technique! I really appreciate the zoom ins on the guitar. Really helpful how you take the sweet long times to repeat every note. This is definitely a great learning tool.
this is the best lesson i have ever had i love it
I have been practicing these for 2 weeks now and have seen some maaajor improvements in many areas of my bass playing from them. Thanks!!
Man I love how you make it look so easy! Thanks for helping me.
Great instruction! A very useful lesson with not a 'wasted' breath! Thank you.
looove these videos, thank you so much for explaining everything so clearly. i've been playing bass for quite some time and your lessons are really filling in the gaps of my playing!
Just you out mate! Literally just started to learn, massively helping me out! Thanks
Fantastic bass teacher. couldn't be happier with his teachings.
I specially love the little inputs you give in music theory which i find super interesting. Please keep that up, it helps me understand why songs are built in a specific kind of way and how songs work much better. I love it, thanks!
Thanks for actually taking time to thoroughly explain everything! Also I wouldn’t have considered letting the snare breathe until you mentioned it, and you’re right, the music as a whole sounds much better that way.
One of the best teachers online !! Cheers mate!!
Great player ! Very good teacher too ! thanks Mark ..
i really appreciate these lessons and that they're free thanks a lot man

Hello Mark I would like to appreciated your lesson.. you make a sophisticated sound line to be so simple and easy to learn..you are one of the best bass teacher I found. Thanks again for this video..
My 1st base is a Jackson. I think his basses are very cool and sound fantastic.
Wow! This was an explanation that actually connected with me! Thanks!
Great job man. You are really teaching how to play instead of showing how good you are to play( as it often happen with tutos).

Thank you for all your lessons. I have enjoyed most online teachers for something unique but as a beginner bass player it seems that I have learned the most constructive and cohesive from you. Maybe a Scott thing ;-)

Hello Sir, first of all thank you for these courses full of richness. I have a question, I don't understand English, so I don't know if you said it: can we play this if my song is in C and I'm on an Am chord? Or should I do it only if my song is in Am key? Thank you. Google Translation
Hi, I see you play different bass guitars and the sound of this one is quite different than the sound of your jazz bass. What type of bass would you choose for what style of music ? Thanks.
excelent
Great lesson thank you . I'm confused , @ 24:47 you're ending on the THIRD finger or " ring finger " not the 2nd finger , no ??
27:37 I will come back, when I am pro. Thanks!!
What are those lights by the pickups?
Hello Adam - like Mark I wondered about the pickups - I have no idea who Melvin is.
A+ Mark is your grade, thanks.
Laid in bed thinking I couldn't do that in a million years. Now tea time and I can do it! You do great tutorials fella. Thanks, a fellow W Yorks bloke :) Incidentally, have you always had Simms pups on that bass?
