We had this pump for 6 months now and runs beautifully. Install was easy enough and the noise isn't too loud. Very satisfied with the pump. Click the link above to get it on amazon!

I just replaced the volute for the 11 year old superflo. The motor is rusted out, the bearings are getting loud and it's a good time for a variable speed motor swap.
my last one lasted from 2006 to 2021 . The new one keeps popping leaks ans I am on my 4 th replacement! looking for other options
June 2022, is this still working well?!
So I just bought a house with a pool and it has this pump. I just opened the pool and my question is does this pump run all the time (24/7)? I've seen other pumps with a control panel where times could be set and what not.... Thanks in advanced !
Is this better than intelliflow ? Can I use a 3.0 hp intelliflow on a smaller swimming poll
I can’t get the part where the basket sits to stay filled with water ???
Mines has an all copper wire that was connected to it and it came off as I removed the motor cover. Now I don’t know where that came from. But I don’t see it on your video. It’s not the electrical 3 wire cables, it’s a copper wire that stands all alone. Do you when where it connects?

Its not the ground cable? I don't recall a stand alone wire...

Bonding wire per code.
How much was it ?
Where did u get it ?
for a pool with that size you could have picked a 1/2 HP pump instead of the 1 1/2 HP model to save a massive amount of electricity. the math behind pump sizing is so simple.

Good point, do you think i can run the pool less often then?

@@TestofTime No, 1 hp is good for that. 1.5 is alot, 1/2 is not ideal.

I agree with the HP comment, 1 1/2 is a lot of power and electricity for that size pool. I was looking for a new pump to replace my Pentair but went with the same model. I was going to upgrade to a pump with more HP but kept with 3/4 HP pump, our pool is 25,000 gallons and 3/4 HP always worked fine.
How did you wire it? Two hots and a ground?

How do you check if the motor is seized up?

I have the 3/4 HP model it's pretty easy to check if debris is in the impeller. You need to remove 8 bolts that hold the pump motor on and that will allow you access to the impeller. Once you get that apart there are 3 screws on the impeller shroud that you remove and you should see any debris in there and be able to clean and back in business.

@@jasondupuis9890 thank you
I had this pool pump for a year now and at 6 months the motor started to make a humming sound, then shortly after the lid seal went, and just recently the motor just stopped working, there was alot of rust around it, so we got a pentair 3HP intelliflo variable speed pump, it's a much better option then this pump, and the basket is way bigger then the superflo
How do you get it working?
