To win the NRL grand final is an amazing achievement. To win 3 in a row unbelievable. To be down 24-8 with 20 minutes to go in a grand final and comeback to win we may never see again. Surely one of the greatest rugby league teams ever...brilliant match.

This Grand final was like an Hollywood movie script and the main actor (Nathan Cleary) steered his team who were down on troops injured, points and belief. He carried that team in the final 15minutes. Probably the greatest half back performance of all time. He just booked himself a seat to share the immortality with Joey Johns in the halfback category.

I agree they carried their team.

I you had to pick a moment that turned a game.... a 40-20 kick on the 3rd tackle at 10 points down. It was a gutsy play that had to be executed perfectly. Without that kick they may have let the game slip away from them. Nathan Cleary stood up at the right time and proved he is one of the best half-backs of all time.

What a comeback from the panthers, Amazing. Watching it live made it so much better

I think you're being extremely harsh. They didn't go dropping balls, they didn't go missing simple tackles, they weren't slow to form their lines. In that key period, the game was taken from them by extraordinary play. Cleary sets up 2 tries and then scores the winner on his own whilst pulling off a sideline conversion and some genius level plays to help Penrith gain additional possession. My Dragons produced a great choke against Melbourne in 1999 and I call that a choke because we played so poorly after taking what should have been a decisive lead. We bombed a certain try, dropped balls, gave away dumb penalties, including a penalty try, etc.

another reason why the NRL is the pinnacle of the sport , i live in scotland and watch both the Superleague in UK and NRL in Aus , the intensity and physicality and crowd interaction makes it an absolute pleasure to watch .

Championship Panthers. When the games on the line its what's between the ears that matters most. Cleary take a bow. Stephen Critta you'll be missed next year uso. Haas, Leota, Critta, Tago, Luai, To'o, May...can only imagine a Toa Squad being so dominant up front with firepower out back to match. Its in the ring when the odds are against you that the true champions rise up. In the heat of the moment when his team needed him the most Cleary stepped up and saved the day. Nathan Cleary take a bow! That was one of the most clutch performances I have ever seen in the biggest game of the year

Panther speed switched on at 3/4 mark, astonishing to watch. Some unforced errors during the momentum creating opportunities for playmaker Cleary nullifying the score gap to +2, incredulous, NRL entertainment gone crazy. Congrats to both teams making the GF2023.

NRL has in my opinion become the most entertaining and dramatic competition of either code and quite possibly in all professional sport - truly outstanding.

As a proud Bulldogs supporter, Huge congratulations to the Panthers for getting the 3 peat. From 24 - 8 down to one of the greatest comebacks I have ever seen. They showed great resilience and never gave up. Nathan Cleary is the one and only king of Penrith, a player who will always strive for success and will never give up. This is truly one of the greatest Grand Finals I have ever witnessed, congrats again to the Panthers, well deserved win.

Crichton was a huge impact in the comeback with his kicking, tackling and try. He will be a great addition for your team next year.

What a comeback

Congratulations, Panthers! Four Grand Finals in a row, back-to-back minor premiers, and now three premierships in a row! They have won the greatest Grand Final since 2015, possibly ever! Simply a herculean effort and one of the great sporting achievements of this modern era, and they’ve done it largely off the back of their iron wall of defence. They lost many players since the 2020 GF and if they had backed off or become complacent at any point, they don’t win three in a row. Simply one of the most dominant teams of the entire NRL era. If they can keep their core guys like Cleary and Edwards, I can see them daring to dream of further glory. Nathan Cleary surely has cemented himself into claiming Grand Final and rugby league immortality. This club has done some amazing things and it will probably be a long time before we see anything like it again. They will be remembered forever.

Critta also had played a huge part in the final minutes by the kick and chase he done back to back.

Cleary's last 17 minutes was the greatest individual performance in Grand Final history 🐐

That choke is just shameful, honestly. Up by 16, and the Broncos just gave up. Doubt they'll get the opportunity again, either. Congrats to the Panthers though, best team of the modern NRL.

Great final this was.. Ezra Mam...great performance and hat trick of tries Nathan Cleary...simply a legend now And this Panthers team..a full blown dynasty now no doubt..they're like the 90s Bulls of the modern NRL era.

My team eventually won, but it was really a huge victory for Australian Rugby League. The skills and grit on display were both entertaining and inspiring. I needed this after the shocking Wallabies campaign at the RWC in France.

What a game, after 40 years the panthers have done it, sadly spencer leniu and stephen crighton are leaving, we'll never forget this grand final, a comeback from penrith

Broncos are very skillful at losing Grand Finals in the last few minutes.

After going to half of the Panthers games at home this year the Panthers sure did save the best for last. Thanks for the great game Broncos! I'm off to Panthers league's club today!

Wow!!!! What a Final!!! This is one if not the greatest final in NRL history by a loooong shot. Panthers will go down as the greatest NRL team. When broncos was winning with 24 points, I actually thought that was it. But that bounce back was the greatest of all time.

As a neutral heart broken for the bronx but Penrith are just just ruthless. That poor completion first half meant the tank was on empty last 10mins. What a game though!! Btw Walsh’s step on Cleary 😱
