Pennsylvania Archery "Me vs The 8 Point" 10-26-17
Ойын-сауық
A self-filmed hunt during Pa archery hunting 2017. It didn't turn out exactly like I had planned, but not all hunts do :)

Man Dave, I could feel every part of that hunt. Those crows sure were making a ruckus, weren't they? That bigger buck was reluctant to venture into the thicket. Enjoyed the entire watch. Dang, he was finally getting within shooting distance and then....game over. Have a fine week. 👍🏽🙂

@@HuntingFarmerOfficial All is well here, Dave. My wife and I are having fun with the little pigs. Since we have them in their pen, we can observe how smart these little guys are......(and how curious). I'll tell ya, I haven't gotten used to the smell of pig sh*t one bit. I came out of pend from feeding pigs and there stood Mamma deer looking dead at me. I think Mamma doe was saying to herself, "how could he associate himself with those horrible little creatures?" Mamma doe does NOT like those piglets one bit. It's funny to see all animals interact. Okay, have a fine week.
Well done. The unhappy ending caught me by surprise. Thanks!
Awesome video. Would be nice if the big buck come closer. How far was him when it's at 11:00 minutes on the video?
I agree, crystal clear footage, awesome encounter, just didn't end the way you've liked, nice job!
This like all your videos was fun to watch. I know it takes a lot of xtra work to share these videos with us. Gods speed to ya and your family 👍🇺🇸

Great video and footage!! Even though he busted ya... what a hunt and great day to be in the woods! Lots of action and I could feel the intensity! It rarely ever goes as planned when hunting those wise animals, but that's what keeps us coming back.

So true!! Thanks for watching! I appreciate it! Really enjoyed your PA hunt!! 👍
Great video and patience. Its too bad you didn't connect. Keep at it, good luck.
Just found your channel and subscribed. Sounds like the crows had found you which put the nice buck at attention. Probably had gotten scent when he moved around your right and that little bit of sound of you getting ready set him off. They have foot long noses and ears for good reason. He seemed a little concerned with that aggressive lesser buck too. Even so, a beautiful and exhilarating time in the woods. All in all that was a great video!

First, loved the video. Second, I wished you hadn't edited out the part where the buck first hung up and wouldn't come closer and the broadside standing still part near the end. I wanted to see all of what occurred. Third, what prevented you from taking a shot? I'm a traditional archer and it looked like a good shot opportunity to me. The distance looked ok, you had enough height that you should have had a pretty clear shot, and the buck had to have walked closer during the edited part you didn't show, plus he turned broadside and came to a dead standstill. I just don't see anything that would have kept you from shooting so please clue me in. Man, I wanted you to drop him in his tracks!!! What kind of archery equipment were you using? Even if it was a traditional bow, it looks like enough time to draw back before the buck bolted as he didn't have his head turned to look directly at you at first. Just puzzled as to why there wasn't any shot? Love your channel, BTW. Glad I subscribed.

Thanks for your comments. Truth be told it was probably the camera that saved that buck. I shoot a compound bow. As you could see I had several deer around me for what felt like an eternity!! Some of the doe had made their way behind me and I was being cautious (maybe too cautious) about when to draw. Finally the editing when the buck was at his closest was because there was NO footage. My battery died and I had to quickly change out batteries thus the reason I say the camera cost me another one. It seems to happen a lot when self-filming but I LOVE the challenge of it also. Thanks for joining and supporting my channel!! I appreciate it 👍

I decided a long time ago that if it came down to me shooting a deer or filming the hunt, my bow hunting came first! There were just too many deer walking around under your stand to have to live with going home empty handed. KZread videos just ain't that important to me!! Better luck next time.
GREAT VIDEO. GREAT FOOTAGE. I LIKE YOUR PATIENCE. I THOUGHT FOR SURE YOU WERE GONNA GET THE SHOT OFF.

Dale Walker thank you! I thought I was going to get the shot also. Regardless it was a great encounter and a great day afield 👍
Nice 👍👍😀😀খুবই সুন্দর দেখতে ভাই
Love seeing all the deer. Except....... when there's a nice buck in the group. It can be extremely difficult to get in position and get to full draw without at least one of them seeing you a blowing the whole game.

I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment! Having a bunch of deer around is usually a blessing but you’re right, coming to full draw with that many eyes around is nearly impossible!!! 😂
As soon as you started drawing back the buck pegged the source. One can surely get away with a noisy rest and arrow friction all day long while practicing. Targets don't hear and can't run.
I love you deer pics
If. You had. A scrape dripper with no buck scent ,only curiosity scent that's a dead deer
He heard your arrow sliding on the rest

That deer was so close that I would have taken a heart shot if he jumped the string it would have hit the spine and dropped him right there, no tracking.
oops
If it is ok with you can you please send me more deer pics to my email please can you please
nice vid tho
