Believe it or not, the Human Blockhead is really exploiting your anatomy. If you have had a covid test done, you have unknowingly done it. Everyone thinks that the inside of the nose goes up. It actually goes straight back. That’s why the Covid tests feels like they are stabbing your brain. I have done the blockhead trick before, but I don’t use nails. I learned how to do it just to gross out my husband and son. I started with cotton swabs and now I use metal chopsticks and ink pens. Here’s a link to the video that made me start learning the technique. kzread.info/dash/bejne/p6mWmpNxeMqxnJs.html

Producing the fish from the bag reminds me of a trick Eugene Berger did where he'd pull a flat, folded, brown paper lunch bag from his inner jacket pocket, unfold it, and reach inside to retrieve a large shot glass full of coffee. Yours takes it a step further by introducing a live animal to the liquid! Good stuff!

Maybe too obvious when you have Penn to tell you how and you can watch it again, but not if you just saw it once and didn't have the explanation from P&T. Compared to how a card from a pile like this is usually forced, I think it was a lot more subtle.

At the end of the day a card trick comes down to a Force and or Control. The idea was to display a character that wouldn't do a 2nd as a force but instead resort to an easier method. If they caught the Force that is alright I still have the Control, the freely selected bag, and the Fish to hopefully fool them. But in the end all I really wanted was to do a fun, engaging trick and show my version of Block Head to the world.

Absolutely no reason to have a real fish. You can get replica fish and don't have to put it through that. I didn't like the act because of that so ... yeah. Not a planet hugging loony but I think that was unkind and thoughtless.

ive come to the conclusion that comedy magic does not have to be funny necessarily. it just has to be charming. even if you do not laugh you are rooting for them and you want them to succeed at their magic trick and you want them to amaze you. the only magician that actually made me laugh was chris ramsey and i do not even think that he was doing magic jokes. he was just telling jokes on his youtube channel during his video.

Greatest trick ever. Hey Penn & Teller marketing, how about adding a best trick of the night award or something. What’s better, entertaining people or coming up with an obscure card trick to fool them? Adam would win every time. On a completely unrelated topic, the new Peter Pan movie having female lost boys seems reasonable.

The zoom in on your hands made the trick way too obvious. That top card didn't move a millimeter.

You knew you weren't going to fool carny trash like Penn with blockhead, but it's clear he appreciated the entire presentation. Well done on a very entertaining act.

Fooling him with Blockhead? No. The force, control and production of the fish? Hopefully. But honestly I just wanted to show my version of Blockhead which is unique and different than every other version.

@@spaceghost1579 The fish was a great twist ending. And your version of Blockhead is, as I said, very entertaining. Integrating it into the trick itself is much better than just hammering a spike into your nose for no apparent reason.

The fish is only in the bowl for a short time. They live in a big aquarium and have a great life. Also, I've asked them how they feel but they're fish and don't talk so I have no idea. Please don't give them ideas of unionizing.

Blockhead is just the name of the act of hammering a nail into your nose. The nail just goes into the nasal cavity and doesn't hurt anything.
